This was made using a New York Beauty foundation fabric.

It took me over 3 years (from fabric shopping through quilting) to complete.

Completed in 2005.

This is Moni's block for Quilting Under the Rainbow. My first bee block, and my first paper foundation-pieced block!

I love how precise paper-piecing is, and wasn't too difficult once I got the hang of it and figured out which side of the fabric to keep where! I did a practice block with some scraps before diving in with Moni's fabric, which was a good idea. That practice block has holes in it. My contributed colors are the light and dark blues.

Thanks, Moni, for picking a great block-- I learned a new skill!

foundation piecing

I am calling my version of Tula Pink's Catnip Quilt - Octopussy because of the gorgeous Tokyo Milk print I have chosen for the centre

19.5" x 15.75" Quilted Place mats (set of 2)

Christmas gift for lovely elderly neighbors.

I now have come to terms that I will never learn to make my own decisions. Gave husband 10 options and he chose the most detailed. 582 pieces of fabric for 2 place mats messed with my sanity (that's if I was actually sane before I started).

Foundation/paper pieced quilted wall hanging. Measures about 13x6". It's hard to see in the photo, but the main pink fabric is super sparkly.

First foundation-pieced points and curved piecing blocks I ever did. Saw the pattern in a quilting magazine and fell in love.

I'd like to make this a wall hanging, hubby wants another quilt! He's so greedy! LOL

30" x 21" Quilted sewing mat

Inspired by Dusty911 to make this. Customised pocket panel design and used gifted fabric on thread catcher as my name translates as Peace in English.

50" x 50" Houndstooth Explosion Lap Quilt

Turned out like one of those optical illusions where you have to work out how many houndstooths (teeth?) you can see. Orange (and reds) are a horror to try to photograph.

...just because.

i received a bag of vintage scraps from the lovely pouch designs as a little pressie and i thought a little house block was in order.

oh, i'd better add that it's a foundation pieced block from carol doak's 'easy machine paoer piecing'

Such a cute little block and I love all of the aqua! Evidently, I'm not frugal enough with fabric when I foundation piece. Mary had to send me a bit more of the white. Shame on me, and a big thank you to her!

Large play quilt/coverlet made for my children's child care centre to raffle, featuring my foundation-pieced beach scene technique and accent applique. I'm really proud of this one. 120 x 150cm. November 2009. sampaguitaquilts.blogspot.com/2009/11/footsteps-raffle-qu...

The other raffle quilt:

i backed it in super cozy bliss flannel.

Paper pieced

A sweet new foundation paper piecing pattern available at www.sew-ichigo.blogspot.com

Text fabric on the lid from Spoonflower, designed by my talented friend Berene of www.happysewlucky.com

I began this paper pieced Puppy Pillow back in 2007. It is for my son. I was so very excited with how the top turned out that I was afraid I would ruin it when I tried to quilt it. So. it. sat. for. a. LONG. TIME. Then, I had the thought that I could hand quilt it instead of machine quilt. That was an inspiring thought =) I think another reason it took me so long to finish is that I now have to actually GIVE it to my son...

Because we have a dog who likes to eat pillows I made it to also be a wall hanging. That will keep it safely out of the reach of a bored dog :o)

Foundation pieced using pattern created by Linda Hibbert and found in QuiltMaker magazine, July/August 2007. The original pattern is quite small and as this was my first attempt at paper piecing I enlarged it a great deal. Finished size is 18" x 18".
