I used my lightbox and drafted pattern to position and orientate the pieced circles for hand applique. I hand-basted the seam allowance to the back of the foundation papers, starched heavily, then removed the foundations and basting prior to appliqueing. I used white BottomLine thread, and the applique took about a day and a half of intermittent work here and there - then got thoroughly rinsed to remove the starch.

This was made using a New York Beauty foundation fabric.

It took me over 3 years (from fabric shopping through quilting) to complete. I originally intended to make complete sunflowers, but I like the randomness of this better.

Completed in 2005.

Here's the August 09 S.T.U.D. mini quilt. The finished size is approximately 13 1/4" by 14". The black and white border uses the Border Frame foundation from Miniatures in Minutes. The applique drawing is on the projects page of my website: terriesandelin.com

I'm sharing the pattern for Typewriter PP block which I designed for PP classes at Fat Quarterly Retreat 2013 in London: www.shape-moth.blogspot.de/2013/08/typewriter-pp-pattern-...

Though I do not want to show the others quilts of our Round Robin in detail (for I´m not the owner and it is not my turn to present them in detail) I have to show you how my macao / parrot looks in her quilt. Isn´t that a fantastic quilted surrounding for him?!

Three blocks finished for "summer quilt" in progress. I'm using the NYB quilt-along to spur forward progress, but not following the same sequence.

I enlarged the original 8" block patterns to 12", which suits my aqua and olive prints better. Plus I couldn't see making enough 8" ones for a large quilt.

Finally finished. Quilt block made from my new PP pattern.

Yay for a finish! TGIFF linky is at mine this weekend! craftyshenanigans.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/tgiff-linky-is-o.... Pattern by Quiet Play.

This is the completed top for my little log cabin mini. It measures 16.5" square. I like this so very much and really hope my partner will, too. I am at a loss as to how to quilt it...I honestly don't think quilting is going to add anything. My thoughts are to stitch in the ditch the four yellow x's in the center of the log cabins and then maybe do a zigzag echo on each side of the flying geese border. Anyone have suggestions?

I haven't quilted this up yet since I'm considering making up another three and setting them with sashing for a wall quilt.

Uses the 13-Square and Square-in-a-Square foundations from Miniatures in Minutes.

Finished size: 10 1/2" square

Done. It's not perfect, but it lays flat, and that's enough for me.

I finally finished my Project of Doom quilt top! The brown fabric is actually a gorgeous woodgrain fabric and I can't wait until I get it quilted so I can take more detailed photos of the fabrics and the stenciling I did for the titles on every single one of the books.

I received the most wonderful package today from Teri (Craktpot) - am I one lucky person or not!!! I just love this little quilt, all the cute houses and barns, and trees, even a tent and caravan with a bonfire to keep the campers warm. Thank you so much

Finished, in all its wonky quilting glory. I was having major problems with my walking foot, but I just powered through and finished it rather than fixing the problem.
