Distribuzione: Solo nella Sardegna di nord-ovest: Capo Falcone (Stintino),Capo Caccia (Alghero), Isola Asinara e Isola di Tavolara.
Studi recenti condotti su questa specie, hanno portato all’isolamento di un nuovo composto naturale, l’horridina, di cui si stanno studiando ancora le caratteristiche e le eventuali applicazioni nei vari campi.
Considerato molto importante da un punto di vita naturalistico, il Fiordaliso spinoso viene considerato un paleoendemita, cioè un fossile vivente essendo comparso sulla terra oltre 30 milioni di anni fa e avendo resistito per tutto questo tempo a condizioni ecologiche estremamente sfavorevoli. Spesso è inserito tra le piante a forte rischio di estinzione, proprio per l’areale limitato a poche zone della Sardegna; in realtà, la maggior parte dei territori in cui vegeta sono sottoposti a tutela ambientale e dunque si può ben sperare che sia salvo, insieme ad altre piante rare che vivono negli stessi ambienti.
Il nome specifico deriva dall’aggettivo latino “horridus” che significa irsuto, ispido e si ricollega evidentemente alla intensa spinosità della pianta.

Recent studies of this species, have led to the isolation of a new natural compound , the horridina , of which are still studying the characteristics and possible applications in various fields .
Considered to be very important from a naturalistic point of life , the cornflower is considered a thorny paleoendemita , that is a living fossil since appeared on earth over 30 million years ago and having survived all this time in extremely unfavorable ecological conditions . It is often inserted between the plants at high risk of extinction , due to the areal limited to a few areas of Sardinia , in reality , most of the territories in which it grows are subjected to environmental protection and , therefore, one can hope to be saved; along with other rare plants that live in the same environments .
The specific name is derived from the Latin " horridus " which means hairy , shaggy and obviously relates to the intense thorny of the plant.

Estudios recientes de esta especie, han conducido al aislamiento de un nuevo compuesto natural, el horridina , de los cuales todavía están estudiando las características y posibles aplicaciones en diversos campos.
Considera que es muy importante desde un punto de la vida naturalista , la harina de maíz se considera un paleoendemita espinoso , es un fósil viviente ya que apareció en la tierra hace más de 30 millones de años y que han sobrevivido todo este tiempo en las condiciones ecológicas extremadamente desfavorables. A menudo se inserta entre las plantas de un alto riesgo de extinción, debido a la limitada área de unas pocas áreas de Cerdeña, en la realidad, la mayor parte de los territorios en los que crece son objeto de protección del medio ambiente y , por lo tanto , uno puede esperar , será salvo; junto con otras plantas raras que viven en los mismos ambientes .
El nombre específico se deriva del " horridus " latina que significa peluda , peluda y, obviamente, se refiere a la intensa spinosità de la planta.

Kundgebung in Berlin am 27. Februar 2022 auf der Straße des 17. Juni. Rund 150.000 Menschen standen und bewegten sich zwischen S-Bahnhof Tiergarten bis zur Russischen Botschaft.
Die Menschen protestierten gegen den seit 24.02.2022 andauernden Angriffskrieg der russischen Armee unter Führung von Putin gegen die Ukraine, sowie gegen die Abhängigkeit von russischem Gas. Sie zeigten uneingeschränkte Solidarität mit der Ukraine.

Within our lifetime we may witness the end of fossil fuel industries as energy sources continue heading towards clean, renawable sources, like wind and solar.

Demonstration gegen die Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) und gegen Kredite der BayernLB und der Deutschen Bank für die DAPL in Berlin-Mitte am 17.2.2017.
Rund 70 Menschen beteiligen sich an der Auftaktkundgebung am Tränenpalast und gehen die Friedrichstraße südwärts bis zur Filiale der Deutschen Bank in der Friedrichstraße 191. Nach der Zwischenkundgebung an der Deutschen Bank geht die Demonstration weiter bis in die Kronenstraße zum Hauptsitz der Deutschen Kreditbank Aktiengesellschaft (DBK), eine hundertprozentige Tochter der Bayrischen Landesbank (BayernLB), wo es eine Abschlusskundgebung gibt.
Die Demonstration fordert die sofortige Rücknahme der Kredite von 120 Millionen US$ der BayernLB und 275 Millionen US$ der Deutschen Bank als finanzielle Unterstützung der gefährlichen Dakota Access Pipeline. Abgesehen von der Missachtung der Vertragsrechte der Lakota Sioux Nation, bedroht die DAPL das Trinkwasser von 18 Millionen Menschen flussabwärts. Die BayernLB überdenkt momentan ihre Investition und Mitte Februar sollte diese eine erneute Entscheidung treffen.

„Wir sagen nein zur DAPL und nein zu Trumps Kriegsagenda und Umweltzerstörung! Wir protestieren gemeinsam, um:
1) Die BayernLB und die Deutschen Bank dazu zu bewegen, keine Kredite an die von der Dakota Access Pipeline auszugeben!
2) Der Welt zu sagen, dass der Anti-LSBTQI Vizepräsident Pence und der Klimakiller Außenminister Rex Tilleron hier in Deutschland nicht willkommen sind!“ (Zur Zeit sind Pence und Tilleron von der US-Regierung zu zwei Konferenzen in Europa)
Die Demonstration in Berlin Teil der weltweiten Aktionswoche ‘Global Week of Action’ gegen die Dakota Access Pipeline und eines gemeinsamen Aktionstages, gleichzeitig demonstrieren heute Menschen in 70 weiteren Städten weltweit gegen DAPL und für die Rücknahme der Bankkredite für die DAPL.
Hintergrund-Infos:
Die Dakota Access Pipeline (kurz: DAPL), auch Bakken Pipeline genannt, ist eine im Bau befindliche Erdölpipeline zwischen der erdölreichen Bakken-Formation in North Dakota und dem Pipelineknotenpunkt Patoka in Illinois. Die Pipeline soll eine Länge von 1.880 km haben und durch die US-Bundesstaaten North Dakota, South Dakota und Iowa bis nach Illinois führen. Ihr Bau wird von US-weiten Protesten begleitet und wurde mehrmals gerichtlich gestoppt.
Initiator des rund 3,8 Milliarden US-Dollar teuren Projekt ist der Pipelinebetreiber Energy Transfer Partners.
Dabei werden 200 Wasserläufe überquert ( "water-crossings" ). Vor allem im Gebiet des sich aus einem weit verzweigten Netz von Zuflüssen speisenden Missouri River verläuft die Pipeline durch eine große Flusslandschaft.
Der Protest gegen die Dakota Access Pipeline ist eine der größten Umweltbewegungen der 2000er Jahre in den USA. Der Protest führte zur größten Zusammenkunft von Indianer Nordamerikas seit 1920.
Die Sioux von Standing Rock wehren sich gegen den Bau der Pipeline über Grabstätten und heiligem Land ihrer Vorfahren. Viele ihrer Grabstätten und heilige Orte wurden bereits zerstört, weitere Zerstörungen wurden angekündigt…

"Als Fossil (von lat. fossilis „(aus)gegraben“) früher auch Petrefakt genannt, bezeichnet man jedes Zeugnis vergangenen Lebens aus der Erdgeschichte.
Derartige erdgeschichtliche Dokumente können sowohl körperliche Überreste (Körperfossilien) als auch Zeugnisse der Aktivität von Lebewesen (Spurenfossilien) sein, die älter als 10.000 Jahre sind und sich somit einem geologischen Zeitalter vor dem Beginn des Holozäns zuordnen lassen. In der Biologie und Paläontologie werden die Arten, die bis zur Wende Pleistozän/Holozän ausstarben, als fossil bezeichnet und den rezenten Arten gegenüber gestellt, denjenigen also, die heute noch leben oder erst im Laufe des Holozäns ausstarben.
Durch besondere Umstände sind manche Lebewesen nach ihrem Tod nicht verwest und zerfallen, sondern Bestandteile, Form und/oder Struktur blieben bis heute erhalten. Die fossilen Energieträger Erdöl, Erdgas und Kohle sind ebenfalls Überreste vorwiegend pflanzlicher Biomasse. Es muss dabei jedoch bedacht werden, dass auch jegliche Spuren von Lebewesen der Erdgeschichte, also unter anderem Abdrücke und versteinerte Exkremente (Koprolithe), zu den Fossilien gezählt werden.
Wissenschaftler gehen von etwa 1 Milliarde Tier- und Pflanzenarten aus, die seit dem Beginn des Phanerozoikums vor 542 Mio. Jahren entstanden sind, manche rechnen sogar mit 1,6 Milliarden. Weit unter 1 Prozent dieses Artenreichtums ist fossil erhalten geblieben, denn die Bedingungen für eine Fossilwerdung sind generell ungünstig und viele Fossilien sind im Laufe der Jahrmillionen von der Erosion zerstört worden.
