60-1008-1 (formerly 60-1008-6), operated by Express Forwarding, together with 40-0050-7 from GP Rail Cargo, are departing the freight yard towards Brașov CFR station.

Locomotive 60-1008-1 previously belonged to CFR Marfă, based at Simeria Depot, and was the only unit of its class equipped with an electric coach heating system, used to supply heating for the couchette cars on Ro-La trains.

A trio of Idaho Northern and Pacific FP10s were waiting forwarding west at UP's Proviso Yard in 2000. Rebuilt from GM&O F3s, these cab units spent time hauling Bostonites around New England for the MBTA before heading to Idaho.

In the background, a bunch of other neat stuff awaits their next call.

Russell to Richmond freight Q302 passes what remains of the old C&O division point yard at Gladstone. Located roughly half-way between Richmond and Clifton Forge, the town of Gladstone was the dividing line between the Rivanna Sub to the east and the James River Subdivision to the west. Once a major staging yard for coal trains, it is mainly used for car storage today.

Todays 302 has a long cut of empty wood chip hoppers on the head pin. These will be set out at Strathmore where the Buckingham Branch RR will scoop them up for forwarding to the chipper at Dillwyn

On Saturday 30/11/2024, 7AD1 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen approaching Helps road (Direk) with gwa001-fq02-901 in charge. 901 was being moved to Spencer Junction for forwarding to Whyalla. This is one train that is a clear example of the one dimensional-ism on show by lolrizon.

"Transceiver (English, technical term from transmitter and receiver ), is original the name for a combination of transmitter and receiver, implemented in constructional construction unit, in (similar) the radio engineering, in whose early period transmitters and receivers were ith D R. (in contrast to the compact Transceiver) separate, not rarely voluminoese devices. With network adapters of the computer engineering a Transceiver is as a rule that component, which is responsible over the transmitting medium for sending and receiving the signals (more precisely expressed: feeding and uncoupling the signals in that/out the medium). Depending on, which is used transmitting medium, it concerns thereby electrical impulses , light or electromagnetic waves .

A Transceiver can be also a computer system, which overacts data from a system into another. With a connecting computer between a commodity management and a BDE - one speaks system also of a Transceiver. Here it guarantees those the processing and forwarding (in both directions) of the information."

A D&RGW mixed train negotiates the rocky ledge above Elbert Creek (MP 468.6) just before dawn on a cool September morning.

Although a mixed consist is very much historically accurate for this line, the power you see is definitely not. It's the recently-restored Locomotive #493, a Baldwin K-37, which was originally built as a standard gauge Consolidation in 1902, and then re-built as a narrow gauge Mikado in 1928. The 490-class were heavy freight locomotives which plied much of the famed Narrow Gauge Circle, but not here. The line from Durango to Silverton, CO featured narrow rock cuts and bridges of limited capacity. Back when the Denver & Rio Grande Western operated this line, the largest locomotives that ever operated here were the K-28 class. It was not until the line was sold to Charles Bradshaw and re-branded the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad that the cuts were widened, the bridges reinforced, and the larger K-36 and 37 Locomotives began to be used. Even then, the 493 is only the second K-37 to run here, the other being 497. During 2019, when the D&SNG was actively looking at modifying its locomotive fleet to burn oil to mitigate the wildfire risk that consideration was given to restoring the 493 as the "pathfinder." Fast-forwarding to 2021, the 493 is now in regular daily service on the Silverton runs. The train see here was a special charter organized by Trains Magazine to celebrate the first K-37 in active railway service in nearly 20 years.

Unirea (AB), 04.10.2020

In the earlier part of my freight forwarding career I criss-crossed North Wales and Merseyside on a daily basis dashing between sales appointments, too often cursing the weather and traffic. Conway was always a choke point which could take a long time to get through. In desperation I had looked for a better route so that I often climbed up through the Sychnant Pass to beat the congestion. I never had time to stop until last weekend I made a point of going to explore. Wikipedia describes it thus:

"Sychnant Pass (Welsh: Bwlch Sychnant, "Dry-stream Pass") in Conwy County Borough, Wales, links Conwy to Penmaenmawr via Dwygyfylchi. Much of the pass is in Snowdonia National Park, and a large area of land within it has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Before the coming of the railway to the North Wales coast, the road through Sychnant Pass was the route of choice for mail coaches at high tide, when the faster and safer route along the sands was unusable. After leaving Conwy, the route runs westward through the valley on the south side of Mynydd y Dref (Conwy Mountain), which is topped by Neolithic hut circles and the hillfort of Castell Caer Seion. There are parallel tracks and footpaths (including the North Wales Path) on Mynydd y Dref for most of the way. Also Alltwen (837 feet) and Penmaenbach (804 feet) can be climbed from here.

At the western end of the valley, the Sychnant Pass Road runs between the stone walls of the Pensychnant estate and through a narrow gap in the surrounding hills before descending steeply to the valley floor at Capelulo, reputedly the site of an early medieval chapel of Saint Ulo. Here there are two inns, a restaurant and a bistro, and in the ravine behind the inns is Nant Ddaear-y-Llwynog (the Fairy Glen), a "Victorian" nature trail. From Capelulo it is an easy walk or short drive to the coast at Penmaenmawr"

So I also ventured up to the high point on 'Conwy Mountain' to look down on the ancient castle and walled town. The wind was blowing a gale and I had to switch to a high ISO to get a half sharp shot. I'll definitely return on a clearer day

The main shipper on the Buckingham Division line is the WestRock log chipper near Dillwyn. The loads are interchanged with the CSX for forwarding to the large paper mill at Covington, Virginia.

KCS 4583 south crosses the famous Clinchfield Railroad Copper Creek trestle late on a gorgeous summer afternoon in southwest Virginia. Copper Creek sits at the confluence of Copper Creek and the Clinch River in the town of Speers Ferry, VA. Shortly after crossing Copper Creek the ethanol load will roll into the Clinch Mountain tunnel and pop out on the other side of the 4135 foot long Clinch Mountain in Kermit, VA. The out of town KCS power is run through from the interchange point in Chicago, Illinois, where the train is handed off from CPKC to CSX for forwarding to the terminus in Charlotte. More to come soon from this great trip I took back in July...

Thanks for looking!

Once upon a time, trailers were a common sight in Franklin Park; the Landers Job, from the NS yard of the same name, was heading west with trailers and other stuff on the Elgin Subdivision to Bensenville for forwarding elsewhere.

Soo Line GP38-2 4508 is no stranger to intermodal trains at this location since it likely powered many a trailer train through here as Milwaukee Road 358.

There's a nice story about this photo! So, a few years ago when we started the 80 Stays Around the World photo walk tour, our tour bus pulled into Phoenix for the big event. It was SO HOT there wow. Anyway, it was a great photo walk and I got to know this guy Adam Ghetti and his girlfriend Richelle. I think we talked a lot about video games and really bored Richelle. Anyway, I thought they were a nice couple... and, well, I meet so many people and sometimes I forget. But I didn't forget them when I magically saw them last year at the Tree of Tenere. I took a photo of them and now it hangs in their living room. Okay, fast-forwarding... Adam emails me this year before Burning Man and says he's planning to surprise her by proposing to her during the photo walk at Burning Man. I said it's a great idea... let's cook something up! So halfway through the photo walk, he got down on one knee while hundreds of people took photos. This photo is of Richelle as she is biking to the secret proposal spot, where of course everybody was soon crying. If you want to see a lot of photos of the whole scene, visit my Burning Man Photo Walk page at www.facebook.com/events/167668667439657/

Amazing trip to koonthankulam bird sanctuary near Tirunelveli TamilNadu. Mother nature’s beautiful presentation which enhance the peace of mind. - . - Instagram Id :- @nagendran_c4777 - ( 18/08/2024 ).

One of the major reasons why we need to work towards protecting the environment is because it helps to protect humanity. If we didn’t have our environment, then we wouldn’t have a place to live or resources to live.it is our moral obligation to do so. As a human who lives on earth, it is our responsibility to make sure that it is protected. We must give back to the future generation that what we have received and enjoying. Give them an environment that isn’t damaged and teach them how to continue living sustainably. I request all good souls to plant Banyan tree while making tree plantation. It will have a long lasting effect for mankind and go a long way in carry forwarding the nature to the next generation and will also give fruits useful for birds. Instagram Id : @nagendran_c4777. Planting of trees in a special occasion such as Birthday Wedding etc is a excellent gesture. It can be done in memory of our Parents, Teachers, Friends and also people who comes across in our life such as Doctors Nurses and health staff for their noble service to the society.

The new Burnett Heads lighthouse was built to replace a wooden 1873 tower whose base can still be seen nearby.

The lighthouse is now one of two Australian Cospas Sarsat satellite ground receiver stations. The other one is at Cave Point, near Albany in Western Australia.

The lighthouse grounds are open all year round. The tower is not open to the public.

The International Cospas-Sarsat Programme is a satellite-aided search and rescue initiative. It is organized as a treaty-based, nonprofit, intergovernmental, humanitarian cooperative of 44 nations and agencies. It is dedicated to detecting and locating radio beacons activated by persons, aircraft or vessels in distress, and forwarding this alert information to authorities that can take action for rescue.

The system utilizes a network of satellites that provide coverage anywhere on Earth. Distress alerts are detected, located and forwarded to over 200 countries and territories at no cost to beacon owners or the receiving government agencies.Cospas-Sarsat was conceived and initiated by Canada, France, the United States, and the former Soviet Union in 1979. The first rescue using the technology of Cospas-Sarsat occurred in September 1982.

Next to the red multifunctional diesel locomotives celebrating their 50th year in service, their electric counterparts are turning 60 this year.

To commemorate the anniversary, MÁV-START is throwing multiple smaller events throughout the year. These locomotives were a defining type of the Budapest - Szob railway line, forwarding most stopping passenger, freight, and occasionally Eurocity trains up until the arrival of Stadler FLIRT and KISS EMUs.

On the 28th of May, the first V43 unit with track number 1001 was deployed on scenic Line 70 traversing the Danube bend, unfortunately only on trains 2304 and 2301. The trainset behind the locomotive also left something to desire: the 100 series olive green cab car compatible with Class M41 engines and the bicycle carriage car did not really fit any of the train formations of the "golden days".

Still, as the forecast was nice, I made my way up to Nagymaros-Visegrád stop for this framing with the catholic church in the background of the passing retro-esque train.

Edit 10/1/06: This photo was stolen by several websites that have put it up for grabs for further unauthorized distribution. I have gotten a number of emails from friends forwarding email messages from someone's brother, sister-in-law, etc. with this picture in them. Of course, no credit is given. What is it about "All rights reserved" that is not understood? I have also heard someone saw it on an Austrian television broadcast and a BBC talk show.

Bright and early on March 21, 1970 a UP Sunnyside (Utah) to Kaiser coal train, holds the main at Ono while the rear helpers are removed. Before that however, another w/b will run around this train in the siding. Click the link www.flickr.com/photos/117950591@N02/17524478494/ to see the shot from the fireman's side of UP 3648, of the train that used the siding to run around this guy. This is actually a 3-road effort to get this train to Kaiser, with UP and D&RGW teaming up to move it from the mine in Utah, and SFe forwarding it from Barstow to Kaiser.

Com vaig llegir per la web, els contorns superiors i aparentment desordenats de les Leica recorden un antic cuirassat d'inicis del s. XX, amb les seves torretes d'acer. La funció acurada li dona bellessa, a cada corba de la Leica.
