The Forks is a historic site and meeting place in Downtown Winnipeg located at the confluence of the Red River and Assiniboine River. For at least 6000 years, the Forks has been the meeting place for early Aboriginal peoples, and since colonization has also been a meeting place for European fur traders, Métis buffalo hunters, Scottish settlers, riverboat workers, railway pioneers and tens of thousands of immigrants.
A simplebut effective way of lengthening your forks to handle longer loads safely, without damage to the load. Steel retaining strap prevents forks extensions from sliding off forks during use.

The rain at Glade meant that the shiny tables in the Sancho Panza marquee got spats of water on them, which made for even better reflections. I liked the contrast of the wooden forks to the shiny metal and water.
I included this one because nothing says 'emo vampires' like getting stuck in a traffic jam behind a parade float on the 4th of July

152cm (6") steerer
Semi-sloping crown, it was copying Cinelli at the time.

It's about 152mm of steerer. I think it was on 21" frame at the time, my guess would be 52-53cm frame on a standard top tube.
I found this fork-footed soapdish at a stall at the markets. They are made locally by a retiree.
There were also antique teapots with feet and arms in various comical gestures.
I changed my mind on Jenny's fork and opted for something subtly stiffer for possible front end touring loads.

The races on fork crown come way over sized and in the past I would file them close then use the cutter to finish it up.

Picked these out at a vintage shop in Portland, Oregon. Remember them hanging in our grandparents kitchen? Yup...me too.
Carbon forks, Deore brakes, anodised skewers. Yes it really bothers me the shade of purple doesn't match.

This is a sculpture created by a guy sitting in a sidewalk cafe...He indicated that although he had tried several different brands of cutlery, Oneida forks seemed to be the most malleable for his purpose...It is a really neat sculpture, and watching it spin (and the resultant shadow play) continues to amuse me 3 years later...
