Foreground is farmland, hence the extra water. The Buttes are private land but hikes are taken in monthly. The buttes are a self-contained geographical site surrounded by flat land, and are worth a visit. They are old lava rock extrusions, but never an active volcano.
In this image, I was mainly focused on the tree logs for the no foreground. I am satisfied with the outcome to the image. This image has good lighting and I like the way how spaced out the tree logs are apart. For the edit I used exposure at 0.20, highlights at -100, white at 64 and black at -30.
