Foreground a bit lighter than the last one.

I'm loving this new conversion technique! It's making even my dullest pics look dramatic! :D

The three peaks in the foreground at left are (from L to R) the Lauberhorn, Tschuggen, and Männlichen. To the left of these, in the background, is the Ars; and its adjacent Sulegg is located behind Tschuggen. Between the Tschuggen and Männlichen, in the far background, is the Thunersee -- with Thun at its distant end (approximately 35km / 20 miles away). Located immediately behind and right of Männlichen is Schynige Platte, and to the right of that are the peaks Oberberghorn, Laucherhorn, Bussalp, Waldspitz, and First.

learn this technique from a tv show in Canada. Long long long ago. There used to be this dude teaching oil painting on TV.

And for some reason he always have these foreground stuff.

How's this?

Friday- After school my parents took me to my brother's uni Warwick where we went to see Grizzly Bear play. It was really nice to see a band like them, so powerful and not really like any other bands i've seen live. Their voices are so beautiful and intense. It was nice to spend time with my bruv too :)

I think Grizzly Bear are pretty amazing, have a listen, put the volume really loud and just close your eyes.

I used my hand in the foreground to show how big (or small) the centipede that bit me was. It crawled up my pant leg when I was busy talking on my cell phone in the parking lot where I live. I used color and contrast correction in Picasa. I also darken the color a little with shadow. As you can see, I need practice with lighting because the flash is to visible. I do lke the reflection of my hand on the plastic bottle. I always dreaded getting bit by centipedes, now I know how it really feels. I let this one go though. Who can blame them.

Homework for "A Year With My Camera" - Workbook 1 Chapter 7 - Subject, Background and Foreground

Mostly Foreground

I did the complete assignment four times, with four completely different subjects, in four completely different parts of the yard, and pretty much disliked them all.

This was my last attempt, having dragged the patio furniture out onto the middle of the front lawn in order to get a foreground and a background, plus enough room to back up shooting with my favorite lens.

Put this homework down on the "Repeat post pandemic" list - when I can go someplace a wee bit more interesting.

The nearby fountains started to go off, I found a good spot that didn't get the camera sprayed based on how the wind was blowing

This was one of those happy accidents. I was shooting a fireworks display and someone came up beside me and started waving their sparkler around. Once the camera was done shooting, I thanked her for improving the shot.

I spent a lot of time by the Patras seaside - one of the places I will remember well.

This photo captures a nighttime scene of a parking lot with several cars parked in it. The parking lot is illuminated by lights, creating a bright and well-lit atmosphere. There are at least nine cars visible in the scene, with some parked closer to the foreground and others further back.

In addition to the cars, there is a boat parked in the lot, adding a unique element to the scene. The boat is situated near the center of the parking lot, surrounded by the parked cars. The overall setting suggests a busy parking lot during nighttime hours.

Old cemetery in Fredicksburg, Texas.

I had stopped at the post office to ask directions and a middle age woman with a thick German accent who had lived in Fredricksburg all her life gave me directions.

This cemetery is behind the post office. Have never seen such an old cemetery so well cared for. All the people at rest here have family in the area that still visit their graves.

It was rather touching to see this.

Foreground: Blanket Flower (Gaillardia aristata).

From the old files. I have taken several shots of this but all I got is overcast skies and dark foreground. Decided to combine using 3 shots in HDR. ——————————— #Banaue #Ifugao #Philippines #riceterraces #travelgoals #seepilipinas #weexploreph #travelph #discoverphl #discovermnl #choosephilippines #itsmorefuninthephilippines #traveldestinations #thediscoverer #nature #environment #waytogo #goph #pilipinas #igph

This photo satisfies requirement 2, blur foreground. For this photo, I went over to a bridge that looks over Montlake Blvd NE around 9:30 pm. I set up a tripod in the middle of the bridge and tried my best to make it level with the road, although the tripod I had was having trouble keeping the camera looking forward. I set the shutter speed down to 20 seconds so that I could get a long exposure photo of the light from the passing cars. Because there was a streetlight right ahead, I set the aperture to f/29 to make the photo have a more natural lighting. The ISO was set to 100 for low noise and I zoomed in a bit to make the road take up more of the view. The slow shutter speed creates a motion blur of the light from the cars. In Photoshop, I adjusted the tone and contrast to make the red light trails more vibrant and dark.
