Welcome to today’s Abundant World meditation, “Spirit of Authentic Presence” led by Jackie Lowe Stevenson, CEO of The Spirit of Leadership.

Our journey begins on ancient grounds adjacent to Lake Erie, one of our planet’s great freshwater lakes.

Pebble ledges left by receding glaciers, traveled by indigenous tribes and foraged by roaming herds, this land is a sacred gateway to nature’s aliveness.

Connect to the freedom that resides deep within your heart of entrepreneurial resilience.

Loving that hill.

Taken from a moving vehicle.

Was vacationing in the Berkshires last weekend, in the cold and rain, so I spent some time learning how to actually use my camera. Most of these shots are a result of me practicing with aperture priority.

I've been waiting awhile for something interesting to appear in the foreground for this kind of shot to work.

The constant rain and a severe lack of anything new to post had me searching through my archives. A pretty ordinary sunset but I liked the texture of those ripples.

Digging down in Europe is apt to uncover historical stuff, as was done here. A small shop had to surrender it's cozy spot to allow work to begin. Summary: shop is gone. But cool ancient stuff is revealed. Korčula (town and island), Croatia

"Hey" Baghera says, "you know all this about background photos on the screen? That's out of fashion. Now you need a good looking cat in front of the screen, if you want to be modern. Umm... why is mum making so much funny noices???"

The Hanalei end of the Powerline Trail is much more lush than the Lihue end. The trail is the dirt road carved out to lay power lines and is open for hunters with 4-wheel drive vehicles, mountain bikes and hikers. It's not maintained as a road and is rutted and steep. But it overlooks Hanalei River Valley and Kalihiwai River Valley...

This is a burst shot of my sister attempting to do a cartwheel. I had the shutter speed pretty high because I did not want any motion blur. However, there is some motion blur present which is why I also included R2 because some of the individual pictures have foreground motion blur with a clear background. I might have used them for that requirement but this blend is too funny I couldn't resist. I had the aperture at f/8 to let light in. It was a sunny day so I did not need to be too low. This medium-range also kept the background clear so win-win. I took this 4 photo burst and edited it in photoshop the same way as the previous photo. Layer the picture in the order they were taken -> auto-alignment -> apply layer masks -> use paintbrush to blend photos -> combine photos. After finishing that process I lowered the aperture by -.10 to darken the picture a little. I then cropped off the blank portions caused by auto-alignment, and also a lot off the left side because it was blank space.

An exercise in ensuring "foreground interest" was apparent in landscape shots

The three peaks in the foreground at left are (from L to R) the Lauberhorn, Tschuggen, and Männlichen. To the left of these, in the background, is the Ars; and its adjacent Sulegg is located behind Tschuggen. Between the Tschuggen and Männlichen, in the far background, is the Thunersee -- with Thun at its distant end (approximately 35km / 20 miles away). Located immediately behind and right of Männlichen is Schynige Platte, and to the right of that are the peaks Oberberghorn, Laucherhorn, Bussalp, Waldspitz, and First.

learn this technique from a tv show in Canada. Long long long ago. There used to be this dude teaching oil painting on TV.

And for some reason he always have these foreground stuff.
