Took an impulse trip to twin donuts today to help make up for the deep sadness I'm feeling over not being able to go to the tswift concert and see haim. A delicious, fresh-made donut for only $0.78 (!!!!!!!) was the best way I could think to drown my sorrows.

 

This is the closest any rollerblader will get to the berrics skatepark.

at this point it is heat treated. we differencly heat treat all blades. so the edge is harder and the spine is softer. since the edge is harder it will expand and get longer. this process will make the spine warp up ward. now when we profiled the knife we allowed for this effect. but even still we have to re grind the spine to make it flat.

 

but we also got the slight bow in the cutting edge that we wanted. the progress is going well on this knife.

One of my favorite things to eat. I know I have an awful lot of asparagus pictures, but I never seem to tire of how beautiful they are.

 

This is a modified/simplified version of a recipe I found in Real Simple magazine last year. Basically the only thing that is the same is the fact that I used shallots and asparagus. LoL
