Inigo de Loyola was born in 1491 in Azpeitia in the Basque province of Guipuzcoa in northern Spain. He was the youngest of thirteen children. At the age of sixteen years he was sent to serve as a page to Juan Velazquez, the treasurer of the kingdom of Castile.
Sometime called the base pin, or the follower pin, nomenclature wise, this is the follower ARM pin. But I like "follower rod pin" because it reminds me how important the follower rod is!!
Use the nomenclature you're comfortable with for yourself.
When purchasing, use the "book" nomenclature.

Unbeknownst to her parents, my daughter made this T-shirt Sunday night and wore it to her public middle school on Monday. Why did she do it? I'm not sure. However, as a family we watched and discussed The Chronicles of Narnia over the weekend. We also listened to a CD by a Christian rapper called KJ52 quite a bit the last couple of days. On the back of her shirt she wrote "Jesus Rocks" and "KJ52 Rocks".....update - one of the songs mentions fans writing KJ52 on their t-shirts.
CHIMPANZEES
The very mention of the word Chimpanzee brings a smile to people's faces and our lot are guaranteed to put you in a bright, breezy mood.
Even before you see them you'll hear them. They can make a bit of a racket! To those who don't know them, they can sound like they're fighting, but their high pitched calls and shouts are just a way of communicating with each other.
In the wild chimpanzees work together as a team and here, too, you see teamwork at feeding times, or when they're climbing, wrestling, or playing.
chester zoo has a group of 25 chimpanzees has leaders and followers, similar to wild chimps in Africa. Our oldest is Boris, who was born in 1966. The group leader is Dylan and was born in 1987.
They also have younger males, grandmothers, breeding females and our youngest chimp is Tina, born in 2009.
In the wild chimpanzee numbers are going down drastically so they are now listed a Critically Endangered species, which means without important conservation measures they could be wiped out forever.
That's why, through our Nigeria Conservation Programme, we support Gashaka Primate Project, set up in 2000 in Gashaka Gumti National Park.
It safeguards the future of chimpanzees in their natural homeland of Nigeria and protects other wildlife species, flora and fauna with which their survival is interlinked.
I couldn't miss their moods......
Kalighat ‘Sang’- my experience:
On the last day of Bengali month of Choitro (Choitro Sankranti) the followers of Lord Shiva set their age old procession from the Kali Temple. They make-up and mimic the different mythological characters related to Lord Shiva like- Parvati (his wife), and his sons, Kartika and Ganesha, and daughters Lakhsmi and Saraswati. People also make-up of other characters and saints, very famous in the history of Bengal. Since morning, with great enthusiasm, they start to dress-up and then start their procession through the major streets of south Kolkata on foot and sometimes in well decorated horse carriages. They are called ‘Sangs’.
Being a resident of south Kolkata, I had the opportunity this year to go to the make-up room in Kali temple premises and have some photographs, and also to see their processions. Here I would like to share a glimpse of my experiences. Hope you will like them and appreciate the colors and vibrations of Kolkata, the reason why its called the ‘City of Joy’.
Narada :
Narada is a Vedic sage, famous in Hindu traditions as a traveling musician and storyteller, who carries news and enlightening wisdom. He appears in a number of Hindu texts, notably the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, as well as in the mythologies of the Puranas.
Brahma:
Brahma is the creator god in the Trimurti of Hinduism. He has four faces. Brahma is also known as Svayambhu (self-born), Vāgīśa (Lord of Speech), and the creator of the four Vedas, one from each of his mouths.
Kalighat and Kali Temple:
Kalighat is a locality of south Kolkata, India. Being one of the oldest neighbourhoods in South Kolkata, Kalighat is also densely populated and vibrant—with a rich history of cultural intermingling with the various foreign incursions into the area over time. A famous temple, the Kalighat Kali Temple dedicated to the goddess Kali, is situated in Kalighat. It is believed by some scholars that the name Calcutta was derived from Kalighata. In the early days traders halted at Kalighat to pay patronage to the goddess. The temple was initially on the banks of Hooghly. The river over a period of time has moved away from the temple. The temple is now on the banks of a small canal called Adi Ganga, connecting to Hooghly.
Lord Shiva and Gajan:
Lord Shiva's temple is situated in the north-east to the sanctum sanctorum in the temple area. Gajan is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is associated with such deities as Shiva. Gajan spans around a week, starting at the last week of the last Bengali month of Choitro, and continuing till the end of the bengali year. It ends with Charak Puja. Participants of this festival is known as Gajan Sannyasi or Bhokta. Persons of any gender can be a participant. The central theme of this festival is deriving satisfaction through pain, devotion and sacrifice.The word gajan is considered a combination of parts of two words - ga is from the word gram meaning village and jan is from the word janasadharan meaning folk. In this sense gajan is a village folk though it is also celebrated in the cities. Kolkata is no exception.

seen in the little zoo of Grömitz (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany). I didn't like the zoo very much - in my opinion most of the animals didn't have enough room. But there was a huge meadow with some llamas. We had bought a little bag with food for the animals and as soon as my husband pulled it out of his pocket, the llamas started to follow us, trying to steel some crumbs of him... it was hard to get rid of them! ;-)

This is what happens when I try to take my picture on the ground.
They follow me, and it is so irritating. I try to trick them by saying "Daddy's home!". At least 50 times. They don't believe me.
It's obvious they are obsessed with me. Ha! However, I think Chillee is telling me to kiss her ass.
Oil on panel, 44 x 59 cm. Copy of lost painting by Leonardo da Vinci by the same subject. Painting is also called "Madonna with Spindle, Madonna of the Distaff, Madonna dell'aspo, Madonna dei Fusi, Madonna mit dem Spindle, Virgen de los husos, Virgen de la Rueca. The figures of Joseph, Young St John the Baptist, Tobias and Angel are added to composition. However, the original title claims there is a donator here, I guess it's been mistaken with Tobias figure.

PERE LACHAISE CEMENTARY -PARIS-It was a beautiful sunny day to stroll through the cemetery. The start of fall left many leaves on the cobblestone sidewalks. The crunching of the brown leaves and the echoing of one footsteps on the various colored cobblestones remind one that they are walking into the Paris past.
Famous , not so famous, and the forgotten are buried at Paris' most famous cemetery.
