This beautiful specimen died in our front porch when out tutoring for a course about Australia tropical diversity in a cattle station near Charters Towers. When I saw how beautiful it was, i took this chance to try focus stacking of an insect with my new tripod and flash diffusing system. This is the result of stacking 15 images

I really like this shot. Rather pleased with it.

I don't know what kind of flower this is. Does any horticultural expert out there know?

Focus Stacking

Materials from a school project in Evesham. Photos taken by students through the town and along the river were merged using the Focus Stacking tools in Photoshop. They were then printed out for use in a giant collage.

Focus stack and merge of 101 images. Processed in Helicon Focus., Lightroom 2015.12, and ON1 RAW 2017 (Develop and Effects)

This is a composite of 108 photos each having a focus field of roughly 0.6mm.

The pictured area is roughly 7cm in length, 4cm in width.
