there is a weed growing out of my back patio up near the house that has sent up "sticks" out of the pavers. I noticed this tiny feather stuck at the top of one yesterday...it must have fluttered down from one of the house finch or sparrow nests that grow in the ivy above on the wall. It caught my eye shimmering, and blowing in the wind.

He was moving so this is not as focused as it could be but I captured him with his wings spreaded.

Don't you feel sometimes to flutter away from everything what bothers you or makes you uncomfortable...like a butterfly...when he doesn't like the nectar or a flower and he flies away...?

He comes back...but just for little while he is in the air FREE!

Jewel Flutterers have returned to Centenary Lakes in Cairns. Several were sighted at the same time, and I can't resist taking photos of them!

...flags, but white in color? Usually the prayer flags were colored, but these were all in white, at the BBS Tower. But at a closer look, it was clear that, these had lot of chants printed on them.

In Thimpu, there is a view point called BBS Tower, at Sanjaygang, to which one needs to drive up a hill.

The paper, butterflies and photo are distressed with antique linen Tim Holtz distress ink. It is hard to tell on the photo but it helps hide the white core of the photo paper.

I've spotted about 4 hummers now and all are very active getting ready for the rest of their jaunt south. The feeder is just outside my bathroom window and I hear them first thing in the morning....all fighing for the same feeder. I added a second one at the front of the house and have spotted two hummers.

I love these beautiful creatures, they add such beauty to the gardens!! We are expecting thunder storms this afternoon, hope we get them!!! Happy weekend everyone!!
