Construction of the bag is sturdy with a layer of light weight interfacing to give the bag a bit of structure. This bag is handcrafted to be pretty durable.
Moth hand silk-screened in my itty-bitty studio with a pearly iridescent paint.
This bag features some machine embroidered fabric I found on this silky material. I also used some aqua colored home decorator fabric. Piped with purple velvet ribbon.. its quite pretty.

Deboxing the 2014 Disney Store Tinker Bell 10'' Doll. First the front plastic is removed from the cardboard backing, to which the doll is attached by wires and plastic restraints.
The newly released 2014 Tinker Bell 10'' Flutter Wing Dolls, part of the Disney Fairies Classic Doll Collection, that I purchased from my local Disney Store. I will photograph her in detail, boxed, during deboxing and fully deboxed. I have already posted sneak peeks of her fully deboxed.

It was raining all day, so I stayed inside the greenhouses. There were lots of different plants and flowers.
Rhyothemis notata
A small one, all black, like miniature of Portia Widow. It likes to float in the air, spectacular in flight. Once I witnessed a swarm fly close together high up. I didn't know why or where they were headed and couldn't photograph them. But that definitely was one rare and magical event.
Getting a shot at a Flutterer in a sunny afternoon is almost impossible. They don't just stay. This was a stray at rest else...
One of 5 cards created with a new release die, Happy Birthday Script, from the Simon Says Stamp, Fluttering By release. My little butterflies were created using one of the flowers from the Simon Says Stamp set, Artsy Flower Parts and Arctic Christmas.
I couldn't resist another "kaleidoscope effect" with the pattern of these butterfly wings. Made from a triangle portion of this butterfly.
How cute are these cupcakes that my mum made for Xmas. Straight from the packet...they taste really good!
Feminine and pretty, Flutter incorporates die-cut upcycled watercolor paper (from my student work hoarded over the years) on a background of aged paper from a 19th century Art History book that I decoupaged to thicker rag paper and cut into chunky shingles. Ombre ribbon festoons the top and all applied decoration is pinned and therefore could be removed and rearranged. I am working on some cake dummies to help the viewer visualize all my toppers but for now I'm posting these sitting upon my Milk Glass Cake Stand.
