100 Days of Summer

Wasn't sure what I was going to do for todays theme when this guy came by for a rest in one of my flower pots. When I was looking at him and the markings on the back of him I knew I wanted to use him for today's Macro Monday theme.

The guided walking tour of Florence. Our guide took us a different way than the other guides taking other groups. First via the area that used to be a Roman Amphitheatre.

Palazzo Lottini

Palazzo Lottini is a historic building in Florence , located in via Isola delle Stinche 3, at the corner of Via della Vigna Vecchia .

The building has an overall design that brings the building back to the late fifteenth or early sixteenth century, albeit with later additions and modifications. Walther Limburger , which definitely dates from the 15th century, signals "a very nice beginning of scale". So, instead, Marcello Jacorossi (Palazzi 1972): "Elegant building of pure Florentine character of two raised floors with recurring stone frames and arched windows: those of the first floor have the modeled pietrami. The door on the half-round is adorned with drafts of sandstone and has, on the sides, two small rectangular windows with molded cornices.A third attic floor has small circular eyes with stone frames ".

On the corner it is a shield, embellished with fluttering ribbons, now abrasive and illegible, which literature points out as attributable to the Lottini family (see a photograph in Palazzi 1972 ). On the main façade, looking at the square of San Simone, a plaque recalls how the sculptor Giovanni Duprè modeled his dying Abel here .

Also in this house, between 1931 and 1932, the writer Fernando Agnoletti (Cecconi) lived.

The Australian flag flutters atop the Ballarat Town Hall, despite a stylised Eureka flag being part of the Ballarat city council logo. They are not even prepared to fly the Eureka flag on the top flag pole on the anniversary of the massacre.

Neon yellow/green and gray striped dress with pretty diamond ruffles on the bottom. Fabric is light weight and soft. Can be worn alone or with pants when the weather is cool. Perfect for an active princess who likes to run around, but still wants to feel fancy.

This little treasure was in a box given to me by a dear friend today. Sadly, it is not in the best of shape and I had to pull out the Scotch tape. The box is great and clearly lets you know that it is both flame and tarnish proof, which of course, is always a concern that I have.

It was made by Reynolds. Makes you wonder why they got out of the Christmas biz.

Taking a mini break from posting, so I will leave you with something pretty to look at :)
