couple of hours at burton mere today ,not much about bar these new born goslings ,love them

My attempt to turn something pastel - definitely a challenge for someone who loves highly saturated colors. HSS!

Roadrunners are common in the city of Albuquerque, especially in the morning when they go roaming in search of food, often fluffing up their feathers, perhaps to let the sun warm them up.

I was going to type fluff and feathers, but with Maple it's more like fluff and fats.

Marggy was requesting hammie photos so I thought I'd oblige. I have to admit this was taken a while back. I have been out for a wedding the whole day and therefore do not have a photo taken today. I will strive to be more diligent tomorrow.

Maple is the fattest hamster I have ever had. She lives with her sister Cedar. Yes, they are all grown up now, Maple more than Cedar. But who doesn't love fat hammies?!

When God created kitty cats,

His recipe was just right!

A few cups of cute, a pound of love

And a pinch of humour to delight.

Each recipe precise

And filled with wonderful stuff!

But when God created my kitty cat

He must have spilled the fluff!

All the trees, shrubs and plants in the surrounding area are covered in a blanket of white fluff (seed wool) from the Black Poplars growing on Ham Riverside Lands. It is incredibly soft and delicate but not great for hayfever sufferers.

There have been times that I've waited what seems like forever for a bird to fluff it's feathers and other times I just accept what the wind has to offer! This Northern Shoveler didn't seem to mind this little bit of 'wind fluffing'!

A portrait of our Top Cat, our much loved old Fluff who is beginning to look old now.

Fynn enjoyed some outdoor time this morning as the weather was quite nice. I tried to take some photos of him which turned out to be rather difficult as he behaved like a crazy kitten. Lots of blurry shots were the result. In the meantime all cats are indoors again as we are expecting stormy weather later this afternoon. The main storm front will hit northern Germany and we are in the south, so I hope that it won't be too bad but I still prefer if the cats stay at home until it's over.
