This is the reflection of a part of the building of Sofia Central Hall on a parked car near it (variant 2).
Target keeps signing new leases for its flexible format stores in New York City. This 21,000 sq. ft Target in the Forest Hills neighborhood in Queens was the first Flex store to open in NYC last year. The store is split over 2 levels with a small escalator connecting both levels. It was previously a Barnes & Noble.
Most of the ground floor is taken by apparel and checkout with a CVS pharmacy, pantry, tech and toys on the second level. There is a Starbucks adjacent to the Target (also there when the store was Barnes & Noble) which has an internal entrance from Target.
Within the past year, three Target flex stores (as well as one full-line location) have opened within NYC, with 4 more planned over the next 12 months. With Walmart basically locked out by the city council from building any stores within the New York City borders, Kmart and Target have the city to themselves (along with the many smaller, local discounters). A massive 140,000 sq. ft. Kmart is about 2 miles away from this Target in Middle Village, Queens.
Just this month, it was announced that one of Kmart's 7 city stores is closing and Target probably wants to get as many Flex stores open before Walmart grabs one of Kmart's 6 remaining NYC leases when it finally goes down for good.
Attended the Digital Days workshop in Los Angeles this past weekend. Model shots and portraiture are not my forte, but it was a fun if not hasty shoot. Putting up a few of my favorite shots over the next few days.

I too spent my first nights in Hong Kong in a small guesthouse in Chungking Mansions, a place most of you may know from Wong Kar-wai's film Chungking Express. Chungking Mansions was one of the first high-rises on the southern tip of the Kowloon peninsula, in the heart of the city's tourist belt. When it opened in the 1960's, Chungking Mansions was briefly considered chic and housed some film and music stars. Its many entrances were however also excellent for shadier deals and the building's reputation quickly deteriorated to a tiny corner of the third world in a city that otherwise became richer and richer.
Chungking Mansions became a centre for South Asians, backpackers, drug addicts and later for Africans. For them it is a self contained world and business centre were they can meet their suppliers and find the comfort food from home. It is said that twenty percent of all mobile telephones sold in Subsaharan Africa move through this building:
Chungking Mansions serves as a central hub of what I term ‘low-end globalization’. This is the globalization of cheap, often copy goods smuggled across borders, largely under the radar of states and laws; this is globalization as experienced by most of the world’s people. I estimate, on the basis of extensive interactions with merchants, that 20% of the mobile phones in sub-Saharan Africa have passed through Chungking Mansions. The building exists as a hub of low-end globalization because, due to Hong Kong’s flexible visa policies, it serves as an intermediary between South China manufacturers and developing-world entrepreneurs. South China, with its massive production of cheap goods, plays an essential role in spreading the fruits of globalization to South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, areas that otherwise would not be able to experience globalization; Chungking Mansions, under Hong Kong’s neoliberal rule of law, facilitates this process.
Honkies long considered the eyesore an embarrassment for their city and security became subpar in an otherwise very safe place. In the last few years, the facade has been cleaned up and a lot of CCTV's were installed. The atmosphere and smells inside have changed little since my stay in September 1988. Wong Kar-wai's assessment still applies:
It's a legendary place where the relationships between the people are very complicated. It has always fascinated and intrigued me. The mass-populated and hyperactive place is a good metaphor for the town itself.

Sometimes when Bonkers leaves his chigura, we have to swap out the wee-wee mat (especially when he's not wearing his diaper). When that happens, we may forget to put his house back together, which annoys him a bit, but he makes the best of it by finding the roof and sleeping under it regardless. In this case, his wee-wee mat was dry - I probably removed his roof to let him get out easier than having him drag himself out by himself.
This little item, the jaw's open up to get into the drivers seat plus it bens for corner's Plus to get this in this area he had to take some of it apart to roll it in hear.
I am working on my flexibility, trying to get more flexible in forward bending. Can touch the floor while wearing heels and get my head to my knees with legs straight.
Birds are amazing creatures. I see these herons every time I go birding in the marsh, but I dont think I ever saw this pose.
The ability to bend is what saves a feeble grass in storms that are capable of destroying even the strongest of trees.

Ahh....I remember when I could do that too......and Caroline has lost a lot of her gymnastics flexibility and form since she increased her dance classes and decreased her time in the gym.
