A Flex is a pretty sweet multi-seat ride though.
Purchased on e-bay, these were converted by a camera repair expert. The Ciro-flex on the left appears to have been a Model D, serial No. 91801, with parallax correction and no Fresnel, although it appears to have some sort of fine focusing screen and grid.
The Graflex 22 on the right had been a 22 200 with Century shutter. The covering is a cheap-looking textured gray paper. This one has a Fresnel, but I don't know if it's original. The serial number (601281) had been on the focus guide plate (the thing hidden under the lens plate, exposed when the lens is extended), but that was replaced to allow for the side notch for cable release.

I learned about this event from one of the models and had no idea what to expect but decided to give it a shot. It was the unveiling of the Cruisin Biker Wear 2016 calendar and the models were going to sign the calendars. The models pulled up in a limo in front of the store, came out on the red carpet, started to turn blue from the cold, and then lined up to have their individual photos taken by the event's official photographer. Fortunately they lined up right in front of me (and a bar) so I had a chance to shoot with most of them but it was really quick - probably less than 10 minutes of shooting. The models were great - especially considering that I looked like a Bigfoot relative standing in front of a bar. I've shot with two of the models and hopefully I'll be able to shoot with the other in the future!
I took these photos on a very nippy day in January 2016 in Meridian, Idaho.
The Ciro-Flex C is one of the 3 models that have the better Rapax shutter. The other two are the E (same as the C but with flash synch added) and the F, which had a higher grade shutter and a Tessar-type f/3.2 lens - at the time, faster than you could get in a Rolleiflex. The Ciros lack luxury materials and features, but they have good quality lenses and shutters and are very reliable. There is probably no safer investment in medium format than one of these.

This shows just how flexible the derby stones are. I have a customer who has been using this very mould for over 13 years on a constant basis.
They put the mould in the frame and make sure that they use a non solvent release agent.
This ensures that the mould that is undercut! can get out every time!
