Die 145 088 hat bereits ein abwechslungsreiches Einsatzleben hinter sich und wurde von verschiedenen Eignern genutzt. Im Jahr 2000 wurde sie an die Schweizer Mittelthurgaubahn geliefert. Schon zwei Jahre später wurde sie an die SBB Cargo verkauft. Danach gab es Zwischenstationen im Lokpool von MRCE und bei SRI. In 2024 fand sie bei der Firma Flex Bahndienstleistungen eine neue Heimat. Dabei erhielt 145 088 auch einen attraktiven Neulack, das Design wurde von Railcolor gestaltet. Dieses ist in meinen Augen durchaus gelungen, die Traxx-Maschine wirkt dadurch moderner und läßt ihr tatsächliches Alter nicht vermuten. Am 07. März 2025 begegnete sie mir bei Breitenfurt im Altmühltal mit einem Kesselwagenzug in Richtung Treuchtlingen fahrend.
The 145 088 has already had a varied service life and has been used by various owners. It was delivered to the Swiss Mittelthurgaubahn railway in 2000. Just two years later, it was sold to SBB Cargo. It then spent time in the MRCE locomotive pool and at SRI. In 2024, it found a new home with the company Flex Bahndienstleistungen. In the process, 145 088 was also given an attractive new livery, with the design created by Railcolor. In my opinion, this is quite successful, as it makes the Traxx locomotive look more modern and does not give away its actual age. On 07 March 2025, I spotted it near Breitenfurt in the Altmühltal valley with a tank wagon train heading towards Treuchtlingen.

Packing on the pounds and feeding him more than usual since winter is on the way, he was way too thin. Feeling better he's always in a pose or flexing like an 80's kid at the mall on a Friday night. I swear he'll be throwin gang signs by next week. All that aside, hes doing much much better and much calmer now. Thankfully.

On one of the country roads my wife and I use on our wildlife hunts, 3 squirrels venture out daily into a cornfield to scrounge for corn. Often, they are together in a small circle, eating when we drive by.
I have been trying to get a good photo of all three together, but they are quite suspicious of us and take off if I slow down.
It is a little hard to tell with animals. But there are times I think they mimic attitudes they see in people.
After disturbing this guy at lunch, he stood up and stared at me. It looked suspicious like he was flexing toward me.
