Another flea beetle wearing its golden armour, 1.5-2mm in size, not a perfect sharp pic, as it was on the move.
Taken with MP-E 65mm, 2X converter and defused flash at about 6x magnification
Picked up this at flea market Saturday. Love the style. Love the material. So feminine. So comfortable. And may l add, sexy. Told you I'm getting more girly girl lately. Sandra influence.
Actually thinking of wearing a cute top to work today.

Meeeesha :)
She recently got a flea bath and not only is she clean of fleas, but also extra white and fluffly. She's been strutting around the house. Every morning between 6:30 and 7 she knocks on our door and I have to get up and let her in. I never regret it because all she does is cuddle.
The FLEA is a unmanned robotic transport, designed to exploit any pre-existing network of railroad tracks on terrestrial planets.
Its front wheels have independent suspension to help steering and high-speed cornering, as well as having adjustable widths to fit any type of track.
A single rear wheel provides the primary source of locomotion, which simplifies not only operation, but maintenance as it is easily replaced by cheap motorcycle tyres.
The FLEA gets its name from its long telemetry antennas, as well as a powerful set of hydraulic pistons mounted on the rear swing-arm. These pistons allow the FLEA to perform short leaps off the tracks onto adjacent tracks, or over slower trains which are using the same railway track.
This was shot within an hour of when I first got my Rollei, we stopped by at a flea market on the way back to Minneapolis and they were all packing up. He drives here every Sunday to set up shop and sells socks, fur coats and toy cars. After I photographed him, he asked me to help him restock his shelf of toy cars --which i happily did.

ODC-Table
Found this lovely round table at an indoor flea market in Albuquerque, NM. In the Winter I use this to put my little Christmas Tree on.
He`s got a busted jaw that needs to be restrung and is missing a few accessories but for a few bucks I added another doll to the creepy doll collection.
Our yard backs up to a wooded area and a creek. There are always surprises popping up in the yard like this pretty wildflower.
Both China heads are marked Germany on the back and I did not have a blonde in this scale. She will fit in my dollhouse. I have a friend for the brunette - probably her sister - also in need of a dress. Both will be added to my China head doll shelf after they get some new dresses.
China head dolls - $10 each
Caco baby - $3
Plastic baby crib and baby (toy for my Caco kids) - $2
Handkerchiefs (for doll clothing) - $1 each
I went to the flea market this weekend for the first time in years. I found the cutest 1/6 scale knick knacks and they were so cheap! I have got to get away from Ebay shopping! I'm hooked on flea markets now. My boyfriend doesn't know it yet, but he's started something. I hope he likes flea markets as much as I do because we'll be spending lots of time at them! Lol
A serendipity piece!
I was clearing out a cupboard in my department at school and came across a squeezy bottle of red marker ink, designed, rather badly as it turned out, to refill industrial felt pens.
This flea is the result of the ensuing accident, I was able to make something of the mess on the card, but not on the desk or my clothes!!
I have added 'ink outlines' filter, which has manufactured some interest in the background.
I hope you like this, as I do, it is one of the few bits I didn't want to part with at my last exhibition!

blogged at: eandmyblog.blogspot.com This gal is from Southern Calif. and makes the most beautiful bottles. I try to buy one eaach month. If you don't get there early shop owners scoop them all up. I bought a large one for myself and two small ones for my sister-in-laws. They are going to love them!
JJ and I went upstairs in the flea market - we left Tim downstairs with Lina. So much to look at here, but that eye chart behind JJ caught my eye!
The striped flea beetle (Phyllotreta striolata) is a small flea beetle, shiny black with a greenish tinge, 1.5 to 2.5 mm long, having a wavy amber line running the length of each elytron (wing cover). It is a pest of cabbage and other brassicas. When disturbed they use their powerful hind legs to jump away like a flea - hence, the name flea beetle.
The striped flea beetle were introduced from Eurasia, and is considered a pest.
Thanks Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - now I know.
Waiting for spring - going through some old folders.
