Barbie size fold top writing desk - $20
All of the drawers open and the front slants down.
I've had it in mind to make a writing desk for Blythe/Barbie like this. Finding this one was great. I have a plain wooden pine chair that I can use with it (maybe). Barbie is from Amazon, just placed here there for scale reference. The butter churn was with 1:12 stuff. I like the old style. I think it could go with either Blythe or chunkier 1:12 scale stuff.

I found many of these fleas in the abandoned nest of a songbird in October (in a forest). They seemed happily excited that someone was stupid enough to get that close to them. My 4 year old son was with me … he is clean now … ;-)
Not sure about the ID, may be a kind of bird fleas, Ceratophyllus gallinae or Dasypsyllus gallinulae or?
Picture above at around 25x magnification. 157 exposures taken with Nikon BD Plan 20x/0.40 ELWD on Canon EOS 5D, flash + led light, ISO 125, paper cylinder diffuser, Zerene stacker, mix of DMap & PMax method. For all 3 pictures I pushed/varied contrast and sharpness in the picture style-sttings of my EOS 5D.
Flea Market Sundays Series
Another in the ongoing visits to the area's local flea markets.
Here, a lovely couple searching for bargains under the punishing July Sun.
Lucerne fleas (3mm) are and imported European springtail (Sminthurus viridis) and are a pest to some crops such as clover and broad-leaf crops.
We have clover plants growing in the back yard where they live. You can see where they have eaten the surface off the leaf in these photos.

Walking in Edinburgh's old town, I was surprised to find a whole new public square had opened up behind the Royal Mile. Sibbald Walk has food, a weekend flea market and live music.

I found a few of these cute little Flea Weevils on the undersides of oak leaves. So adorable as they walk along the leaves :) They are so small I couldn't get a good picture with my macro lens. I suspect they may be fairly common but overlooked. I've been doing some internet searching to find more information about them. Not finding much.....I am very curious about them.
A few goodies from the latest flea market. I was most excited about the rattan set and the Monster High Dolls. I don't usually post them, but I have been collecting them second hand since finding some at a flea market a few years ago.
The rattan set looks like a 1:12 German set I've seen. It had hideous cushions which I immediately removed. I'll make something simple to replace them. I'll probably repaint the Monster High furniture sometime.
Made another iteration of Allie, my flea OC.
Changes to V4 include narrowing the torso and head from 3 studs wide to 2, how the abdomen connects to the torso, and the lower legs+feet.

Most of our flea markets/antique shows were cancelled this year due to covid, but one was held in July and I found some great Barbie deals. A few more pics to follow.
