As it's almost Easter I thought I'd get my Easter wreath out and since I didn't have any other ideas for a photo...here it is along with a coat hook I bought ages ago but haven't put up yet, some pigeon eggshells and a few other bits and bobs.
I added some textures (my own)
Day 44/365:
I was a bit desperate for an idea today and didn't even think about it being Valentine's day tomorrow when I grabbed some of my hearts for a simple flat lay.

I collected on request;
"Do you have (plastic, glass wood, no matter) christmas balls large or small, figure shapes necklaces garlands, kitsch baking tins. But also McDonalds or other dolls & animals, supermarkt action tricks and other rarities that you no longer use, incomplete, ugly, childish or broken ..."

Ik verzamelde op verzoek;
"Hebben jullie (plastic, glas hout, maakt niet uit) kerstballen groot of klein, vormen figuren kettingen slingers, kitsch bakvormen. Maar ook McDonalds of andere poppetjes & dieren, supermarktactietroepjes en andere rariteiten die je toch niet meer gebruikt, incompleet, lelijk, kinderachtig of kapot..."
Not real, no worries, even the 'Stanley' knife is made of plastic!

Net echt, geen zorgen, zelfs het 'Stanley'mes is van plastic!

Strawberries bring back memories of my childhood, I don't know if it's because of their sweetness or their beauty
Day 307/365:
I'm so glad I keep so many of my flowers once they have dried out...always come in handy, especially when I can't think of anything else.

Not for honey, but for making lace, I never though of the similarity, but indeed looks a lot alike as you can see.
Day 166/365:
Another of my recent acquisitions is this vintage silver berry spoon...who knew there was such a thing? So I thought a rather grand spoon deserved its own photo. Apologies if the title made you groan ;)
Day 149/365:
This is the first time in a while that I've had the time or inclination to do a flat lay.
These flowers are from a bouquet that my son and daughter-in-law bought me as part of an early birthday present.
………A saying my Dad often said which sprang to mind whilst taking this weeks ’Smile on Saturdays’ picture - ‘Flat Lay’. Five Runner Beans from the garden laying in wait - Sunday dinner will be their final destination along with a few more of their friends. Have a great W/End whilst you Smile & ponder “How Many Beans Make Five” 😊 Alan:-) HSoS……

What else was I going to call a random collection of things thrown together? The asters appeared in another flat lay (while they were alive).

I thought I'd use the crown that I made yesterday for today's photo too...waste not want not. I always like to get more than one use from a prop, especially if it's one i've made.

I used to write in different colors.

This beautiful book was a birthday gift from a friend. Of course I had to use it in a flat lay.

Back to a flat lay today, with my vintage cotton reels

April 2022: A month in 30 pictures
This backdrop and music sheet were still out from yesterday's flat lay so I worked around that for today as I'm short of time. Title from some of the words under the magnifying glass.
I found three more today! They had some imperfections but nothing Photoshop couldn't assist with; afterall, it is the end of the season for them. To find them I had to walk among the long grasses around the edge of our field. It took me a few minutes to spot them, but there they were, huddled together waving in the wind.
Happy Sunday, friends!
