There is nothing very remarkable about this photo, but it does show one of the defining characteristics of Bangladesh: its flatness. Tagore loved Bengal's vast horizons, but I do like the odd hill or mountain myself :-)

More flat peaches! A tiny newsagent/ grocery shop very near our house has been selling flat peaches (also known as doughut or saturn peaches) for the last few weeks. This is my 3rd or 4th bag!
This flat magnet is made from a high quality digital photo of one of my OOAK paper sculpture/mixed-media collage, The Horse Whisperer.
Surrounded by seahorses, she appears to be scanning the distance for something... maybe it’s a lost pirate (that resembles Orlando Bloom) looking to settle in a lovely beach home on the coast of Maine...
The magnet is 3x4 inches in size. The image is printed on a laserjet printer, on high quality semi glossy photo paper mounted on a magnetic sheet & covered with a plastic laminate. The plastic laminate protects the image allowing splatters & spills to be wiped off. But do not submerse it in water; it is not waterproof (like a real mermaid!)
The quality of the image is so intense that the magnet looks like a mini version of the original piece. The colors are very vibrant & bright: the deep azure blue ocean, her glistening golden hair & the gleaming emerald seaweed. The detail of the image is so great that it demonstrates the depth & dimension of the original piece making it appear to be 3d. You can practically feel the sand & pebbles!
Inspired by the recent BBC documentary regarding the Park Hill flat renovation, Sheffield - I decided to pay a visit to it on a perfect wet and windy day.
These crustaceans may be some of the most abundant living creaters in the mud flats of our coastal salt marshes.
Reading is an important and fun part of our day at Clinton Massie. Flat Stanley is relaxing with a good book in Camp Read A Lot.

Flat as a tack, not a bubble in sight.
We're not sure if it's supposed to be flat or if the resto serving it is just a bit bad at serving beer but after we had our first one, we asked for a bottled beer next time round. We got the same, cold but flat beer served.
