I first read about this concept in Digital Photographer Philippines. It was also mentioned in PCC's Basic Photography Workshop. It was only last week that I tried my hands on writing with light.

I used a basic flashlight and taped a yellow green post it in front of the bulb. Camera was set at 15 seconds on aperture priority. I do not have a remote control so I set a 5 minute delay on the button to give me time to walk in front of the camera. Upon hearing the first click I immediately started writing. It took me a few attempts to get a decent capture. I don't have the best Flashlight Handwriting but I had fun doing it.

More Flashlight awesomeness. Didn't get much onto the film, though, which is kinda lame...

still before we saw the ghost

This is what the room looked like to us when we were in it, it wasn't lit at all. the only reason you can see the whole room in the other photos, is because my flash is on.

it was pretty interesting/creepy/scary/awesome.

This is Paul Bolger. He's in the band Mr. Bloto witih his brother. The band has been around for 20 years. These guys are great lyricists and put on a kick ass show! They make original tunes and have even been known to cover a song here & there. Every year they host a weekend music festival, Bototopia. This past year they covered some Beatles songs & bought a Tambura to get the right sound for one song. You can see this instrument in some of the other photos.

A lot of people ask Paul about the longevity of this band. He explains that it's not about having an attitude or posing but it's about the music.
