November 12, 2020 - Light Painted Skeletons at Tuttle Cameras' - Tuttle Club Light Painting at Heartwell Park in Long Beach, CA, using colored flashlights from Costco!

Here's my Prism Flashlight currently up for sale.

It is amazing what one can do with a cheap flashlight, a beer can, 4 screws, and some silver spray paint!

I took this photo at 11:18 p.m. on a Saturday night in downtown Nashville on Legislative Plaza as a lone state trooper walked past me, shining his flashlight into corner of the public plaza just past where I was standing. The photo was taken as I was on the Plaza with numerous other photographers, news crews and reporters to document the third straight night that a small band of political protesters were under the threat of arrest by state troopers if they failed to abide by the newly instated curfew - a curfew created out of thin air, with no legal authority, and selectively enforced against only the political protestors on the Plaza. I could have been arrested for being there - on a PUBLIC plaza at the physical and metaphysical heart of state government in Tennessee - all because the governor is tired of the protesters and wants to make them go away.

Politically, I'm not in sync with the protesters. But I am 100 percent in support of their First Amendment right to assemble on that plaza and speak their mind for however long they want to be there, until they feel as if they have said all that they wanted to say.

And now, we'd arrived at the start of the talus caves, which is the main thing I'd always wanted to see at Pinnacles. I first learned about this around 2010 or so, when Pinnacles was still a national monument, and we watched a local access show called Motion that was briefly broadcast nationally on one of those digital antenna channels ... 7-4 or something. The premise of the show was that an extremely fit guy named Greg would go to some natural place and demonstrate to city folk how to exist outside, and we actually learned a lot from it. The show was based in California, so all the early episodes featured California places. One of those places was Pinnacles, and the biggest part of the episode was spent exploring the talus caves, and I've wanted to see them ever since.

Tomorrow: We'll go see the talus caves!

Editor's Note: This is the 1,000th picture I've posted from California. It won't show up as a thousand pictures to you, because I have all those state trooper pictures hidden, but that's what it shows to me. I'll handle that sometime in the new year.

This was taken in the backyard at my family's house in Wels, Austria. I wanted to take pictures of stars that night, but it turned out to be cloudy, so I decided to do something else, using my flashlight. Then this came out awesome! :)

This was taken a day late. I didn't take a picture at all the day before, so I took a bunch today to make up for it.
