This 3D MagLite was modified by Nailbender, and has a d2Flex PWM driver to adjust brightness and runs for a VERY long time with this battery setup, even on high. It has a light orange-peel reflector. The DSVNI-binned P7 has very nice "buttery" tint.

This was taken a day late. I didn't take a picture at all the day before, so I took a bunch today to make up for it.

The massive rock in the top 1/3 of the image is the Hartselle Formation. The eroded, dissolved, and narrow, fluted Monteagle Limestone is seen in the lower part of the image. Both are Mississippian in geologic age. Caver in the background for scale.

High on the success of getting the switch working, I decided to press on.

Next up, I soldered the 6V bulb to the leads: Another continuity/resistance test, and still looking good - Hey "test as you go" works wonders if you can mange it.
