NX1000 20-50 kit, with radial filter in LR postprocessing

The student lays each part of the flashlight onto the template drawn below (note that red tape is wrapped around the + end of the batteries to ensure proper placement). Flashlight is then assembled and placed into the finished bin on the right.

18 shots later, I'm finally satisfied with the result.

The setup:

(1) 500 watt work light on the right perpendicular to camera diffused through a diffusion panel. The light was placed about three feet away.

(1) white posterboard sheet on the left to bounce light back onto the left side of the JetBeam flashlight

(1) black cloth to server as background. About six feet away from subject.

(1) flashlight with red filter diffused through a tissue. Placed to the left and in front of the flashlight subject to provide accent lighting.

(1) flashlight. No diffusion used. Placed six feet away from the background to create the blue accent light.

Just killing time with a long exposure, an LED flashlight and a willing subject. With just a touch (or four) of Photoshop.

El Segundo #cy365 #january #2016 Meet El Segundo. A surprising item for a Northern boy to have in his Southern home. Getting him was quite an interesting story I hear. He has the idea he wants to put red lights in his eyes. After this project added two additional sets of horns, that dream will never happen! #artificiallight #flashlight

Graphic made in Tierazon :) Had quite a bit of fun with this one.

Experimenting with a flashlight ane 13 second exposure on my camera.

Just playing around in the dark with flashlights.

WARNING!: Do not try this at home. This is a trained professional (thank goodness he is trained at something else). Inserting flashlights into one's nostrils may result in the possible illumination of vast empty volumes where the brain should reside. Flashlights used in this project may not be suitable for other purposes. No noses were damaged as a part of the production of this picture.

I will go on record as this being the most lame entry into the Project 365 group... but it IS an image - taken January 28, 2007

Shot was done with a flashlight on right of camera, pointing to the hammer. I light the sparker candle hidden behind the screw (yes I know it's the wrong type....but then that is EXACTLY what will happen if you try to hammer something that is suppose to screw on....deal with it)......

I waited till the sparkler is half way burn, just around the same height where the hammer and nail meet, fire the camera with the cable release, expose for 3 second, used my hand to cover the lens....after the sparkler went out, I pick up the flash light and then paint the left side of the hammer.

Hammer were hold by No.1 fan, we did this at night on the staircase with an window above our head. So stinky. I also have to use a tin foil underneath the candle which is holding the nail and the sparkler...coz my mom will ABSOLUTELY kill me if I burn the wood floor.

human powered crank flashlight. i'm using for my continuation of the robot project.

4200 Portsmouth Boulevard, Chesapeake Square, Chesapeake, VA

This location opened in the late 2010s and relocated here in 2019; it was originally a Hair Cuttery, which opened on October 11th, 1989 and closed in the mid 2010s.

The sun came up too quickly for this shot to qualify for the One Artificial Light assignment. The exposure time was 30 seconds.

Bildentstehung:

Here is my home made flashlight mount. The light is an Ozark trail. The aluminum is 2.5mm thick and 36mm wide. This is the tightest curve I could make using my weight however adjusting the angle is fairly easy. The front bolt also allows angle adjustment. The model 2 will be back farther and closer to the rack. There will also be a rear plastic clamp as an anti theft device and to reduce vibration. The hose clamp must remain tight the rubber on switch will not withstand any abuse on this light.

Flashlight Bike - Love this bike. (hope that wiki project works out!)

a most valuable commodity, light

Remember swinging these in a circle when the lights went out at the circus??
