The show of four new space invaders (PA_1556 thru PA_1559) on February 19, 2026 started here in Montmartre with this PA_1556.
A striking detail is that these four (PA_1556 through PA_1559) use a new type of mosaic tile with a slightly curved front. I'm posting these four in the order I visited and flashed them. I came to Paris on the beautiful sunny day of February 25th to photograph these four in good lighting conditions.

The online game FlashInvaders forces me to visit space invaders again in neigbhourhoods I don't visit very often like this corner in the 13ème arrondissement. It was almost 10 years ago I was here and I must say that this space invader hasn't changed that much. This original space invader is still in good shape.

The orange runner made in 2016 "flashinvadered" by Andy on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning in 2022, more than 5 years after invasion. As we speak Paris has 1467 space invaders, the most recent one is installed in June 2021. I have encountered this space invader already back in November 2005. The wall was repainted and they painted over this one as well. It is said that there was a period when the invader was visible in the original colors because the wall was sandblasted, but in November 2007 the invader was finally removed from the wall. I missed this 2016 re-activation. Due to the low activity of Invader in 2021 and early 2022, I have the time to find, flash and photograph all space invaders that have never been visited.

Mosaic art at ESA’s ESRIN Earth observation centre near Rome, Italy, placed under a mockup of Europe's launcher for small satellites Vega. French artist Invader is installing his art at ESA establishments around Europe and even on the International Space Station.
ESA has been monitoring Earth with its environmental satellites since the 1970s, keeping a constant watch over our planet by analysing satellite data to protect our environment.
The first space invader mosaic art was found by ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti during her mission on the International Space Station. She installed ‘Space2’ in Europe’s Columbus space laboratory. Since then, space-themed art has appeared at the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany, at our Redu Centre in Belgium, our space operations centre in Germany and ESA’s technical heart in the Netherlands, and it even took over our headquarters in Paris, France.
Download a free app by the artist to spot and collect Invader art at ESA establishments and all over the world. Gain points by taking pictures of the mosaics and compare your scores.

Not only all Amsterdammers have to wear a face mask to protect themselves and others for COVID-19. This Amsterdam statue also wears a mouth mask neatly. An unknown person climbed on the pedestal of De Stedemaagd to provide it with a mouth mask. The well-known statue at the entrance of the Vondelpark at the Max Euweplein is a personification of our city. Sitting on a chair, she invites people to enter the Vondelpark with her right hand. For this exhibition, Invader worked it out in such a way that he installed his 1475th space invader in Paris here (along with his 1474th) and that the total points of all space invaders in Paris would be 40,000. And all this in the year he placed his 4000th space invader in Potosie (Bolivia).

This space invader on this particular location has everything to do with the French culture. Located on the wall of the house of Serge Gainsbourg. It's the third version. The 2009 original has been deleted a few days after installation, the second one has been re-activated by Invader himself in 2011 and was removed in the same year. This one is the work of the R-Team Paris and made in 2016. CryptoPunks is a non-fungible token (NFT) collection on the Ethereum blockchain. The project was launched in June 2017 by the Larva Labs studio, a two-person team consisting of Canadian software developers Matt Hall and John Watkinson. The experimental project was inspired by the London punk scenes, the cyberpunk movement, and electronic music artists Daft Punk. There are 10,000 unique CryptoPunks (6,039 male and 3,840 female), all of which are made digitally scarce through the use of blockchain technology. Each one was algorithmically generated through computer code and thus no two characters are exactly alike, with some traits being rarer than others.

PA_311 [20 points]
It's raining re-activations in Paris. Due to the online application game FlashInvaders some fans felt the urge to re-activate destroyed space invaders which never made it to the game which was brought online in July 2014. This PA_311 was destroyed somewhere between the end of 2013 to the beginning of 2014 and was never 'flashable'. Thanks to the fabulous work of a fan this curb invader is back to life and everyone can win 20 extra points at this spot.

PA_692 [20 points]
The game FlashInvaders forced me to revisit a lot of still active and visible space invaders in Paris. Also this one I took photos of in the Summer of 2007 I had to visit again to flash and obtain the 20 points. After almost 9 years this one in the 16ème arrondissement was still in rather good shape.

A sunny revisit of PA_1509 almost one year after invasion. I don't replace this one but add this one to the photos I already put here on FlickR.

MARS_35 [40 points]
Marseille is the capital of Pastis and the most iconic pastis brand is "51". Love this one near the Vieux Port and La Canabière.
Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again.

A space invader with a message to humanity on this planet. It is the 3731th space invader on this planet. A planet we need to protect.

Another Paris space invader I have never seen before. I encountered this one in January and I was lucky to find this one on a Summer early evening in August in full sunlight.
