Another 'glitch' space invader high above the traffic on the Boulevard Périphérique at the South side of the city. The online game FlashInvaders forces me to visit space invaders again in neigbhourhoods I don't visit very often like this corner in the 13ème arrondissement. It was almost 10 years ago I was here and I must say that this space invader hasn't changed that much. This original space invader is still in good shape.

A second cryptopunk space invader landed in Paris. This time in the 18ème arrondissement in the quartier Goutte d'Or above the Olympic Café.
CryptoPunks is a non-fungible token (NFT) collection on the Ethereum blockchain. The project was launched in June 2017 by the Larva Labs studio, a two-person team consisting of Canadian software developers Matt Hall and John Watkinson. The experimental project was inspired by the London punk scenes, the cyberpunk movement, and electronic music artists Daft Punk. There are 10,000 unique CryptoPunks (6,039 male and 3,840 female), all of which are made digitally scarce through the use of blockchain technology. Each one was algorithmically generated through computer code and thus no two characters are exactly alike, with some traits being rarer than others.

The biggest space invader on planet Earth!
Place Igor Stravinsky can be considered the "trone" of street art. Two huge fresques, one of Jef Aerosol Chut! made in 2011 and the 'fresque' of Obey (Shephard Fairey) called « The futur is unwritten » and created within 48 hours in August 2019 go a welcome new one made by Invader in December 2019; PA_1432.
On Wednesday December 4, a new iconic alien from Invader came to invade Paris. So far, nothing very unusual, the French artist installs his works in the streets of the capital since 1996. However, this time, it is 447 tiles 9 m high by 7 m wide that constitute the monumental mosaic of the invader from elsewhere, the largest work of the Street Artist. Entitled PA_1432, in other words the 1432nd tiled work installed in Paris.

An unknown person climbed on the pedestal of De Stedemaagd to provide it with a mouth mask. The well-known statue at the entrance of the Vondelpark at the Max Euweplein is a personification of our city. Sitting on a chair, she invites people to enter the Vondelpark with her right hand. One of the few hundred points worth space invaders of Paris. Mr Spock from Startrek seems to be teleported to the 19ème arrondissement by Invader. Revisited on a Summer night in September 2016.

I have encountered this space invader already back in November 2005. The wall was repainted and they painted over this one as well. It is said that there was a period when the invader was visible in the original colors because the wall was sandblasted, but in November 2007 the invader was finally removed from the wall. I missed this 2016 re-activation. Due to the low activity of Invader in 2021 and early 2022, I have the time to find, flash and photograph all space invaders that have never been visited.

Mosaic art at ESA’s ESRIN Earth observation centre near Rome, Italy, placed under a mockup of Europe's launcher for small satellites Vega. French artist Invader is installing his art at ESA establishments around Europe and even on the International Space Station.
ESA has been monitoring Earth with its environmental satellites since the 1970s, keeping a constant watch over our planet by analysing satellite data to protect our environment.
The first space invader mosaic art was found by ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti during her mission on the International Space Station. She installed ‘Space2’ in Europe’s Columbus space laboratory. Since then, space-themed art has appeared at the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany, at our Redu Centre in Belgium, our space operations centre in Germany and ESA’s technical heart in the Netherlands, and it even took over our headquarters in Paris, France.
Download a free app by the artist to spot and collect Invader art at ESA establishments and all over the world. Gain points by taking pictures of the mosaics and compare your scores.

The sea resort town of La Ciotat has been invaded as well. As we speak (January 2016) a total of 9 invaders installed during 4 waves. This one with FlashInvader colors was installed in the Summer of 2014. Just for the record, it was my personal 350th space invader flashed with the application FlashInvaders.
We didn't have the time to hunt for some other space invaders in La Ciotat. We know there are a few more including a good re-activated one.

A small sized blue runner of only 29 pixels (tiles) in a not so busy street in the 10ème arrondissement of Paris. I have never seen the original of this one. This one was re-activated before in 2016 but only last a few days.

A re-activation of a space invader of which I have never seen the original. The original location is right at the other side of the street (PA_42 by Tofz4u). Sometimes it's better to have a good reactivation than one at the exact location. There is hope for a lot space invaders to be re-activated.

MARS_35 [40 points]
Marseille is the capital of Pastis and the most iconic pastis brand is "51". Love this one near the Vieux Port and La Canabière.
Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again.
