This big green space invader in Le Marais is part of the 127th wave in Paris and is number 4087 in the world. As we speak (July 2023) still the most recent Paris space invader. Followed by the invasion of both Fontainebleau (18 invaders) and München (18 invaders).

THE INVASION OF ROTTERDAM

In the year 2001 the city of Rotterdam has been invaded by Invader. It was the 8th city in the world being invaded. In 4 days Invader put 26 space invaders (1 hidden bonus) on the walls of Rotterdam. Sometimes hidden sometimes on very visible locations. In June 2020 three space invaders were re-activated (RTD_01, 18, 22) which made it possible to have flashed almost all 26 space invaders of Rotterdam. Except for the hidden RTD_26 which will never be re-activated because it was located on a wall near the Centraal Station. The area is redevelopped and the wall isn't there anymore.

An animal friendly space invader with a message for people considering getting a cat or a dog. Before buying one, check out an animal shelter.

Invader was asked to do something to this problem by a volonteer of the shelter. And Invader did!

On a space invader hunt in the Southern banlieu of Paris Issy-les-Moulineaux, by tramway T2...

Location: Station Les Moulineaux of tramway T2 between Porte de Versailles and Pont de Bezons.

Coordinates: 48°82'14" N 2°25'10" E

Reason: I went here on this evening to flash and capture space invader PA_1416. A bit remote space invader in the beautiful commune Issy-les-Moulineaux South West of Paris. It was my 1223e space invader flashed and the 1028th in Paris. And the ride with T2 is always fun.

PA_1416: soon a link here

Issy-les-Moulineaux: Issy-les-Moulineaux is a commune in the southwestern suburban area of Paris, France, lying on the left bank of the river Seine. It is one of Paris entrances and is located 6.6 km from Notre-Dame Church, which is considered Kilometre Zero of France. On 1 January 2010, Issy-les-Moulineaux became part of the Grand Paris Seine Ouest agglomeration community, which merged into the Métropole du Grand Paris in January 2016.

Population: 69 K, Elevation: 28–96 m

Tramway T2: Île-de-France tramway Line 2 (usually called simply T2) is part of the modern tram network of the Île-de-France region of France. Line T2 connects Paris-Porte de Versailles and Pont de Bezons serving notably the La Défense business district on its way. The line has a length of 17.9 km and 24 stations. The initial section between La Défense and Issy–Val de Seine station opened in July 1997 uses a former heavy rail line converted into light rail whereas the further extensions on both ends opened in November 2009 and November 2012 feature segregated on-street running.

Line T2 is operated by the RATP under the authority of Île-de-France Mobilités.

Because of the success of this line (115,000 people use it daily) the trams were doubled in length in 2005, raising the capacity of each tram to 440 passengers. There are 66 trams of the series 401-466 made by Alsthom (type Citadis 302). On the photo here tram 411.

This first generation orange black space invader was gone for years but came back in 2016. Re-activated and now visible without any damage. Montmartre!

MARS_85 [50 points]

A big "I Invade Marseille" invader on a railway overpass in the Capelette neighbourhood.

Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again.

Three re-activated space invaders at the same prime location, the three air shafts of Centre Pompidou. Never seen these three space invaders at the same time. Great job of the re-activators.

I was afraid these three would have been removed within a few days or weeks, but these tripple space invaders are already more than half a year untouched where they belong...visible and flashable in the street.

PA_030 [10 points]

An 'outlined' orange space invader of the very first generation recently being re-activated around 30/03/2015. This 30rd space invader in Paris did not have such a long life. The re-activation was made by one of the very active players of the game FlashInvaders. Hopefully this time PA_030 will stay a bit longer.

A mysterious space invader who for years half hid behind a billboard, but reappeared sometime in 2013 and has been repaired as well in 2017. Some tiles were missing.

RTD_07 [10 points]

In total 4 new flashable space invaders in Rotterdam since July 28th. Thanks to the re-activation team two totally new (re-activated) space invaders for me and two flashable ones.

This one is located in the neighbourhood Oude Westen and just a few minutes walk from RTD_20.

I went there for the first time within 2 days after re-activation but came back for a better photo with more sunlight.

As we speak (*September2019) about 21 of 26 space invaders are there. Fifteen of them due to the work of the re-activations. Seven of them are still the original space invaders of 2001 put up by Invader.
