PA_1435 [50 points]

An animal friendly space invader with a message for people considering getting a cat or a dog. Before buying one, check out an animal shelter.

Invader was asked to do something to this problem by a volonteer of the shelter. And Invader did!

This PA_1435 was the first space invader installed in the year 2020, it was 3859 in the world.

Unfortunately, this invader is more overgrown than six months earlier at the time of the invasion. Pruning needs to be done.

From 24/06/2022 till 08/01/2023 Invader had an exhibition in the Nima Museum in Bruxelles (Molenbeek Saint-Jean) under the titel Invader Rubikcubist. For this occasion, Invader has placed two new space invaders on the outside of the museum. His second invasion wave in Brussels since 2012. A total of 80 extra points for the city of Brussels.

On a space invader hunt in the Southern banlieu of Paris Issy-les-Moulineaux, by tramway T2...

Location: Station Les Moulineaux of tramway T2 between Porte de Versailles and Pont de Bezons.

Coordinates: 48°82'14" N 2°25'10" E

Reason: I went here on this evening to flash and capture space invader PA_1416. A bit remote space invader in the beautiful commune Issy-les-Moulineaux South West of Paris. It was my 1223e space invader flashed and the 1028th in Paris. And the ride with T2 is always fun.

PA_1416: soon a link here

Issy-les-Moulineaux: Issy-les-Moulineaux is a commune in the southwestern suburban area of Paris, France, lying on the left bank of the river Seine. It is one of Paris entrances and is located 6.6 km from Notre-Dame Church, which is considered Kilometre Zero of France. On 1 January 2010, Issy-les-Moulineaux became part of the Grand Paris Seine Ouest agglomeration community, which merged into the Métropole du Grand Paris in January 2016.

Population: 69 K, Elevation: 28–96 m

Tramway T2: Île-de-France tramway Line 2 (usually called simply T2) is part of the modern tram network of the Île-de-France region of France. Line T2 connects Paris-Porte de Versailles and Pont de Bezons serving notably the La Défense business district on its way. The line has a length of 17.9 km and 24 stations. The initial section between La Défense and Issy–Val de Seine station opened in July 1997 uses a former heavy rail line converted into light rail whereas the further extensions on both ends opened in November 2009 and November 2012 feature segregated on-street running.

Line T2 is operated by the RATP under the authority of Île-de-France Mobilités.

Because of the success of this line (115,000 people use it daily) the trams were doubled in length in 2005, raising the capacity of each tram to 440 passengers. There are 66 trams of the series 401-466 made by Alsthom (type Citadis 302). On the photo here tram 411.

THE INVASION OF ROTTERDAM

In the year 2001 the city of Rotterdam has been invaded by Invader. It was the 8th city in the world being invaded. In 4 days Invader put 26 space invaders (1 hidden bonus) on the walls of Rotterdam. Sometimes hidden sometimes on very visible locations. In June 2020 three space invaders were re-activated (RTD_01, 18, 22) which made it possible to have flashed almost all 26 space invaders of Rotterdam. Except for the hidden RTD_26 which will never be re-activated because it was located on a wall near the Centraal Station. The area is redevelopped and the wall isn't there anymore.

MARS_43 [50 points]

One of the most iconic space invaders of Marseille. There is not one space invader in the world that resembles this one. Located in a quiet street when descending from Notre-Dame de la Garde in the direction of Pharo.

The original of this yellow space invader in the 16ème arrondissement was deleted in the year 2008 but came back re-activated in July 2016. Great work of the re-activator of this work. The reason for the re-activations is not only the game FlashInvaders but also the will of the fans to bring back the space invaders in the street from the perspective of cultural heritage.

INVASION OF THE CÔTE D’AZUR

In the year 2007 Invader has invaded the entire coast of the French Rivièra. Instead of only one city he made a project of an entire region; Côte d’Azur. Spread out from La Ciotat to the Menton near the border of Italy.

The first wave consisted of 35 space invaders spread out over 24 cities with a total score of 990 points. In 2016 Invader put one invader up in Cavalaire-sur-Mer (CAZ_36) and in 2017 wave number 3 consisted another single one (CAZ_37).

Lots of them have been deleted throughout the years but there are already are about 9 space invaders re-activated.

The second space invader part of the invasion of the royal city of Versailles was easily found as well. In the middle of the lunch hour the setting could not be better.

INVASION OF VERSAILLES

After two massive invasions at the beginning of the 2017 with Rabat in Morocco and Malaga in Spain and not to forget Forcalquier in France, Invader decided a royal invasion in the land of Louis XIV, in VERSAILLES!

On the 07/06/2017 Invader put up the first invader in Versailles, followed on 13/06/2017 by three others. The first two waves were installed when I visited Versailles. Not realizing that the work was not done at all. After I left Versailles at the last day of my holiday road trip Invader came back 6 times and as we speak (*November 2017) the royal city of Versailles has 19 space invader pieces installed over 8 waves with a total points of 580.

A very high above the ground (8th floor!) double black and white space invader. Another space invader worth 100 points in the same street installed in 2016 (the other one is PA_1205, "house is in da house").

Visited on the perfect moment of the day, the early morning.

This huge project was number 3378 in the world made by Invader. The light is on green for more great space invaders in the world!

This orange and blue space invader is new for me but it is a re-activated oldschool space invader made in the 20th century. It has mirroreyes and is located on a shady place.

PA_1556 [40 points]

The show of four new space invaders (PA_1556 thru PA_1559) on February 19, 2026 started here in Montmartre with this PA_1556.

A striking detail is that these four (PA_1556 through PA_1559) use a new type of mosaic tile with a slightly curved front. I'm posting these four in the order I visited and flashed them. I came to Paris on the beautiful sunny day of February 25th to photograph these four in good lighting conditions.

Another close-up of PA_1005 on the corner of the Rue Oberkampf and Avenue de la République. I already made one in September 2011 but I couldn't find due to the missing PA_-identity (FlashInvaders didn't exist yet in 2011). So this one is more than 10 years after invasion and still in rather good shape.

This 'space target' near Leicester Square and Charing Cross was part of the 4th wave (LDN_64 thru LDN_75).

A girl on the balcony in the Marais with a space invader. A new to the world style space invader Invader is making recently for cities like Hong Kong, Tokyo and now also in hometown Paris. This girl appeared on Instagram on Invader's page "Invader was here" with the text; Find the girl. Well, I did!

As we speak (December 2014) Invader has invaded 61 cities in the world with a total of 3050 space invader pieces. In Paris the counter is on 1127, this is the most recent now.

ATTENTION:

Location is visible for friends only...there are reports of people trying to steal these space invaders (which is almost impossible without breaking them) and trying to sell on the internet ater repairing them with new tiles etcetera.

Street art belongs to the street!
