"It's gonna rain" is the text on the application FlashInvaders. This space invader made of small micro tiles is located in the 9ème arrondissement and part of a twin. PA_1176 is part of this one and located just at the other side of the street. Installed in the same night together with PA_1177 in the 2ème arrondissement.

AMS_26 [20 points]
I have never seen the original of this space invader which was made in the year 1999. Because of the location this one was removed probably too fast and the number of space invader hunters was negligible at that time. Amsterdam has been under attack of Invader only one wave.
With the re-activation of AMS_26 and AMS_25, the re-activation program in Amsterdam is finished. Two re-activations are not possible anymore because the city changed as well as street furniture and the collaboration of owners of buildings and museums. Photo taken at 09h14 in the morning of my birthday.

Finally two new invaders in Paris after almost 5 months without any invasion in the capital of France and the world capital of space invaders. Together with PA_1486 this new one woke up the FlashInvader fans. Worldwide this was number 4120. A new space invader in town results in a lot of quick visitors flashing the new space invader like this man on his Vélib' bicycle.

MARS_48 [50 points]
The national drink of the Provence is pastis (in local colloquial language called pastaga). This invader is a pastis themed space invader on the label 51.
Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again.

One of the very low numbered space invaders coming back to Paris due to a very successful re-activation action of the true fans. Excellent job and hopefully visible for a long time. I was here when the swing bridge was in maintenance and closed for traffic and public. I asked the workers if I could make a close-up of the space invader. Looking weird, I got short access to the closed bridge section.

The sea resort town of La Ciotat has been invaded as well. As we speak (January 2016) a total of 9 invaders installed during 4 waves. This one with FlashInvader colors was installed in the Summer of 2014. Just for the record, it was my personal 350th space invader flashed with the application FlashInvaders.
We didn't have the time to hunt for some other space invaders in La Ciotat. We know there are a few more including a good re-activated one.

During the summer I use the long days for long photowalks. Even if I only arrive around 19h00. This week I was lucky with enough sun and light for a long photowalk...
Location: Place du Châtelet, Quai de Gesvres and in the distance Boulevard de Sébastopol.
Coordinates: 48°51'26" N 2°20'51" E
Reason: A long photowalk with some new and old space invaders on my way to take photos of and to flash with the application FlashInvaders.
Place du Châtelet: Place du Châtelet is a public square in Paris, on the right bank of the river Seine, on the borderline between the 1st and 4th arrondissements. It lies at the north end of the Pont au Change, a bridge that connects the Île de la Cité, near the Palais de Justice and the Conciergerie, to the right bank.
The name "Châtelet" refers to the stronghold, the Grand Châtelet, that guarded the northern end of the Pont au Change, containing the offices of the prévôt de Paris and a number of prisons, until it was demolished from 1802-10.
At the square's center is the Fontaine du Palmier, designed in 1806 by architect and engineer François-Jean Bralle (1750-1832) to celebrate French victories in battle. [ Wikipedia ]

Cartoon character Lucien created by cartoonist Franck Margarin (born 1952 in Paris) here in a narrow silent street in the 15ème arrondissement of Paris. It was the 3955th space invader installed in the world.

A very Marseille space invader at Gare Marseille Saint-Charles. Part of the third invasion wave of Invader.
Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again. This MARS_75 was the second one I encoutered. flashed and captured.

This is one of the space invaders in Rotterdam which was presumed dead but has been re-activated this morning by space invader hunter and FlashInvaders player Joethecrab (unrecognizable on the picture, ranking on number 6, 739 space invaders found and a score of 21,100 points as we speak) and yours truly (ranking on number 73, 269 space invader flashed and a score of 7,760 points). This 10 point black and white space invader was painted over for years and with a little help of us it has been re-activated again on the morning of April 16 on 09h33 in the morning. Looks like new and invaded yesterday. Though we say to ourselves!

THE INVASION OF ROTTERDAM
In the year 2001 the city of Rotterdam has been invaded by Invader. In 4 days Invader put 26 space invaders (1 hidden bonus) on the walls of Rotterdam. Sometimes hidden sometimes on very visible locations. I took some photos earlier but never put them on Flickr. Eight of the in total 25 space invader are still 'active' in 2015. Two were deleted in 2014 and 2 old new ones came back active (one re-activation and one became visible again due to the removal of a small billboard where it was hidden behind). Rotterdam was the 8th invaded city in the world.

Invader must be a good fan of the Jamel Comedy Club on the Boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle in the 10ème arrondissement in Paris. The Jamel Comedy Club is a 26-minute weekly television program created, produced and presented by Jamel Debbouze, broadcast free-to-air on the Canal+ channel every Saturday in the summer, from 2006 to 2008. The first broadcast took place on 15 July 2006.

I was very surprised that, after the invasion of ESA (European Space Agency) in Redu Belgium (14 space invaders, 430 points) and Frankfurt (14 space invaders, 430 points), the HQ in Paris also the ESTEC (European Space Research and Technology Centre) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, has been invaded. On June 3, Invader has put up 10 space invaders of which 2 in and on the Space Expo, a permanent space exposition. In total worth 480 points. This operarion of Invader is referred as SPACE2ISS. A second wave of Amsterdam and Rotterdam was unfortunately not part of his mission.
This space invader meteorite is located inside the Space Expo, admission 11 € but worth the visit besides this beautiful indoor space invader!

Finally I have a better close-up of PA_584 in the only street in Paris named after my hometown in the Netherlands. This Pac Man was the last invader I flashed during my 3 day stay in Paris in the Summer of 2020 after the lockdown. The score is that I flashed in total 40 space invaders (new, re-activated and never revisited older invaders) worth in total 1070 points and I went up in rank from 505 to 454.
My total score is now 38,740 points, 1,336 invaders of which 1,138 out of 1,446 in Paris. On 20/07/2020 there were more than 136,670 FlashInvaders players.

A quite unique location of a space invader onboard of the lighthouse ship (bateau phare) now called Osprey in the Seine near the Bibliothèque National François Mitterrand and along the Port de la Gare and Quai François Mauriac. Since 2023 is the color white back again which is easier to flash.

After the re-activation of this classic sized space invader in 2017 the building was renovated and the wall repainted. The re-activation of June 2020 was in close consultation with the artist of the mural and they allowed Invader (his re-activators) to put the space invader back in space where it was since 2001.

THE INVASION OF ROTTERDAM
In the year 2001 the city of Rotterdam has been invaded by Invader. It was the 8th city in the world being invaded. In 4 days Invader put 26 space invaders (1 hidden bonus) on the walls of Rotterdam. Sometimes hidden sometimes on very visible locations. In June 2020 three space invaders were re-activated (RTD_01, 18, 22) which made it possible to have flashed almost all 26 space invaders of Rotterdam. Except for the hidden RTD_26 which will never be re-activated because it was located on a wall near the Centraal Station. The area is redevelopped and the wall isn't there anymore.

From 24/06/2022 till 08/01/2023 Invader had an exhibition in the Nima Museum in Bruxelles (Molenbeek Saint-Jean) under the titel Invader Rubikcubist. For this occasion, Invader has placed two new space invaders on the outside of the museum. His second invasion wave in Brussels since 2012. A total of 80 extra points for the city of Brussels.
This one is located on the roof of the MIMA museum.

This space invader is a re-activation of a re-activation. Invader re-activated this one himself in the year 2008 for a new copy of his book L'Invasion de Paris (version 1.1). This one has been re-activated by the R-Team Paris.

Space invader number 768 in Paris and number 2097 in the world was deleted in the same year of its invasion but was re-activated and deleted several times. This time it was my turn to capture it for the first time and flash it. A remark: the original version was not green but turquoise.

MARS_80 [30 points]
A space invader on the Place de Pologne which is actually an exit (sortie 2) of the autoroute A50 (Marseille - Toulon) and a fly-over is almost grazing this 80th space invader of Marseille. This space invader has Kaws style eyes. What I mean? This! (Museumplein, Amsterdam 2021).
Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again.

The one and only "50 points" space invader in Rotterdam has been re-activated in 2020 with permission from the owner / operator of the property. A mother ship on the wall of Nieuw Rotterdams Café (NRC) on the corner of the Eendrachtsstraat.
