FLASH BACK
Il luogo del ricordo svanisce al primo istante del flash back,
superata la soglia della propria porta, quando mi accorgo
quanto è familiare il cambiare incessante del tutto.
Il luogo nel ricordo si manifesta,
e nell’evanescenza dell’io presente tutto torna
a me, ogni strada percorsa, ogni pietra lanciata,
i vetri infranti e le altre sensazioni che il luogo
non può contenere, come gli intollerabili “se”
nei ricordi di occasioni mancate.
Il bianco apparire, nel rituale cammino quotidiano,
si colma di valori che vibrano colmando
ciò che appena rammento, dei segreti rifugiati tra l’asfalto,
gli amici incrociati, perduti o coltivati, i dolori spariti
e le gioie che di quando in quando tornano a sostenere inverni.
Così il luogo diviene nel ricordo,
poiché è la mia persona inesprimibile a dargli identità.
Se solo potessi
ne imprigionerei i resti sulle trame della tela.

The flash was made from 1974 (this particular piece in 1979). It has guide number of 24 m for 65 GOST (28 m for 100 ASA) and can be powered by 220 V mains or two 3R12 batteries.
All the photographs have been taken at the London Alternative Fashion Week in Spitafields Market.

I went to The Flash Bus tour in Durham, NC last week. Got to meet Joe McNally and David Hobby, two of the pioneers of small flash photography. I had a great time, learned a lot and got their autographs. They were both very patient for being rushed by 400 people during the breaks!
Converted to B&W in Silver Efex Pro.
You can see where you can solder the trigger wire onto. This may lead to other interesting projects. Maybe a double flash or adjusting the auto off time.
Be sure to not touch the capacitor if you havent discharged it with a resistor or something.

Here I have moved one of the flashes, compared to the two following photos, from above the kittens to more in line with them.
And This is Nikki and Maia posing.
Want to try a tasty Belgian that doesn’t cost a lot? Then try this one. I have only had a few green flash beers but none have disappointed. Not really WOW beers but better than average. This one has a definite fruity taste. Poured with a nice head. Let it warm up first. After about an hour of sitting it was much better. All in all I’d buy another.
As for this photo I am becoming more and more dissatisfied with this P&S from Nikon.
Close ups I do not have luck with. The focus is usually off or else it’s the operator.
Like I said I need to use the A100 more.
