this is a trimmed up piece of cardboard that i folded over a bunch of times to get the effect.

This was based on a shot I had in my head. I wanted the flower silhouetted by a full moon. (Sort of like in the movie E.T.) I waited literally weeks for the moon to be full and in just the right position and for one of our mini sunflowers to be in bloom.... lots of things over which I had no control. Finally, everything came together just right. Except for one thing. It was cloudy. I figured I'd go out and take some test shots anyway.

Something magical happened. The clouds were very fast-moving and my long exposure times yielded these super cool impressionistic backgrounds. This was so much better than my original vision!

To borrow a phrase from a friend who grew up in Boston, "frikkin wicked"!

Day 254

Yeah, I got this new camera.

Dunno if I'll ever use it.

I also got a action-something-or-other.

It has four lenses, you know, and take them all in order so there's like four frames on a frame.

It's got a test roll of black and white in it now.

Happy.

flash test was a bit too rude ... I'll try to do my best next time

Two great street musicians performing old Queen songs using accordion and tenor voice, only. They did Bohemian Rapsody at that moment. Marvellous idea.

GREEN FLASH: The green flash is a phenomenon caused by the Earth´s atmospheric refraction, which is different for each color of the solar spectrum. In this case, it can be seen near the upper limb of the Sun. When the Sun is weak, for example due to pollution (that was not the case here), it can be seen with naked eye in some cases. Unfortunately the photo is a bit out of focus.
