Flash figure designed by Alex Ross from the Kingdom Come series. He's actually semi transparent - I tried to capture that as best as possible. It took a few lights behind him to get close.
this shot wasn't really high-speed (1/200 second), it was more a test of my reaction time (the sink was dripping at random and i have no specialized equipment)
The adult didn't seem to be bothered by the juvenile but...

This dates from the 50's or 60's and it was my Dad's although he had not used it in years when I inherited it. I don't know if I could get the flash bulbs for it anymore.

"Friends uke nited" flash mob in Gloucester city centre this afternoon. They were introduced by Gloucester's Town Crier (and world's loudest town crier!) Alan Myatt and started off by playing 'Jingle Bells', getting everyone in the Christmas spirit.
It was Matsuri in Toronto on July 27th!
While I was at the festival, I happened the meet up with a few members of the Toronto Kimono Club. They were planning a little surprise for the crowd and asked me to take pictures. After learning the Tenko Bushi (coal miner's dance) on the main stage, a few of them started demonstrating it for the crowd; encouraging them to join in.
Then, as the dancers on stage continued their demonstration, the Toronto Kimono Club members still down below in the crowd (along with some Anime North cosplayers and maid cafe staff) started a Tenko Bushi flash mob!
