That's me on the far right! I freaking love how big and fat my face is, of course nicely framed by the classic early 80s bowl cut. I recognize my friend/neighbor Sarah, with the red boots on the wrong feet there, but I have no idea who those other two kids are.

Never confuse movement with action.

Flashback Friday

Ike as a puppy. I don't know how old he is here, but I'm sure there are Basenji people who can make a good guess. This tattered photo is the only shot I have of him at this age.

Flashback to when I first met Sally-Anne, and had a lot of troble getting her to pose for this portrait shot, just wearing her bra! Now I seen to have trouble getting her to keep her clothes on!

It could be a steo back to the times she enjoyed when she was young, and free!

Flashback to the tightest on all yellow and some red.

another oldie.

the opposite, actually! i put this up before but edited, and here it returns, just the clean and overexposed groovy original.

flashback. this brings back many fond memories. i wish i was back on that steep dusty hill in the middle of Saskatchewan (surprise, it's not flat!) grumbling and whining and snapping [photo's] as i followed my friends at an unwanted distance, all the way up the dumb hill.

Kensington Market, Toronto.

love the flashback tee pattern. so, so versatile.

i angled the side seams to make a swing shape, added a button placket (1.5 inches on either side) and drafted a peter pan collar.

Another overlooked photo from the archives. I made this photo back in January when I spotted this old Beetle in Roanoke, VA.

I really need to take new pictures. Much more cuteness in the comments.

Flashback Friday

I'm guessing it's 1988, and I'm 20 years old, at home in Alaska during summer break. This is the clothing store where I worked.

Exclamation points time - shoulder pads! Hairspray! Swatch! Tanning bed tan! Disinterested expression!

It's only fair that I post this photo after showing my mom's hairstyle from her early 20s on Veteran's Day.

Flashback Comics is a local store here in Woodbridge where Fish is working part time for experience. It's a cool shop that's separated into two, one for comics and the other for games. They got a great collection of memorabilia as well.

Flashback to when I used to race dirt bikes at the track located at the fairgrounds. The sign was in the shadows so I decided an Hdr would probably fix the exposure difference which it did. I lowered the highlights so the mountain and sky looked better, but brought up the shadows so the sign was properly exposed. I increased vibrance also. These were global edits. Locally, I increased the clarity and saturation of the sign. I messed with the reds in the HSL sliders since the red trim of the sign was kind of faded and purple-sh looking but I liked how it looked when it was a little more of a red color.

1987! Black hair! Shoulder pads! Trippy background! Tons of eyeliner!

que club birmingham - late nineties.

A lot's been going on academically and socially for me, especially socially.

And I've been getting overwhelmed a lot. I just made this to look back on some memories.

I think I'll make one for Flickr every month.
