It was on January 23, 1897 that the greatest Indian ever was born. He had all the characteristics of a flame which could burn down the entire British Empire. What happened to the flame? Did it burn down the British regime or was it snuffed out by Indians/Britons? Read more at go.sreejith.info/story

One of my greatest loves in life is to watch flames flickr (pun intended). Give me a roaring campfire and I'm enthralled for hours. So, I decided to experiment to see if I could bring back the feeling with staged shots. The first one I did was in my kitchen. When the flames almost hit the ceiling, I decided that this wasn't a good idea ... so I moved it to outdoors. Remember, all of these campfire shots were taken in glass and metal containers using lava rock, river rock and glass baubles.

Ohoh, don't we all teach our children not to play with fire?

I never listened to my parents...

It's a little bit shaken, but that's the tension of the moment. LOL I had the match in my hand and looking through my camera and hoping I wouldn't burn myself...

One of my first pictures with my new Canon EOS 550D

A flame is the product of a highly exothermic reaction (for example, combustion, a self-sustaining oxidation reaction). In other words, it is the visible (light-emitting) part of a fire.

cheers !!!

(no.. i am not a nerd.. had to copy from wikipedia.)

I thought about fire in the sky

I thought about fire

I thought about love burning in your eye

I thought about fire

It hurts

That drops of fire would fall so precise

And how everything else would loose its meaning

What a beautiful

What a painful surprise

There is no peace outside if there is nothing within

It hurts

But like coming home

Once dried up

I guess this is what you get

When a heart expands

I thought about...

Love is destructive

For the ego

And Your voice is the only thing

That speaks rebelliously in this world of claiming your own

There is no peace outside if there''s nothing within

Love is addictive

For the spirit

And Your voice whispers with a roar

That fire rises up, refills

Place the right king on the throne

I thought about...

I thought about a burning fire

I thought about a loving fire

I thought about Your love

My mother has a bad habit of burning plastic stuff. Here's a picture of some nice multi-colored flames from one of her fires.

“A life without love in it is like a heap of ashes upon a deserted hearth, with the fire dead, the laughter stilled and the light extinguished.”
