Flame

Flaming can from a camping trip.

I'm not sure which is my favorite, but I think they all came out pretty nice. It took me a while to find an alcohol that burns nicely. The rubbing alcohol I tired didn't burn for more than a second along with everything else I tried. I think my house makes things being flammable a myth. Everclear did the trick at 190 proof. I think I'll be trying more soon.

The martini glasses burned with a nice orange flame since the mouth of the glass was more open and kept burning till every bit of everclear burned off.

Trying to capture a good flame

I could stare at them until I became hypnotized.

Taken on day 3 of camping trip to Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Taken on McKittrick Canyon Trail.

It was a day for having the fire on - not a real one alas but it was at least lovely and warm.
