Fun with spray paint cans. This car used to be white, then we painted it purple with flames, but then the sun decided it liked light blue better than purple.

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas (War is over)
For weak and for strong (If you want it)
For rich and the poor ones (War is over)
The world is so wrong (Now)
And so Happy Christmas (War is over)
For black and for white (If you want it)
For yellow and red ones (War is over)
Let's stop all the fight (Now)
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
So this is Christmas (War is over)

Another year over (War is over)

War is over now
Harley Davidson inspired birthday cake covered in black fondant with orange & white fondant accents. Ghost flames painted on with shimmer dust.
Flame Wave socks (from Interweave's Favorite Socks, pattern by Ann Budd). Knit from Cascades Fixation Effects (cotton/elastic) in colorway 9349, "Tiger Lily." Modifications: cast on 49 stitches, knit entirely on size 5 needles (instead of starting on 5s for the upper cuff and switching to 4s as the pattern indicated.)
I knit the first sock (shown here) in August-September 2007, and the second sock in April 2008. The pattern was easy, and the yarn feels good on my feet, but I'm not really thrilled with the color patterning. The second sock has a cool spiral effect, but on the first sock, the spiral broke up and did a lot of flashing and pooling. Also, the color looks much more screamingly pink in sock form than it did on the skein.
