My mother has a bad habit of burning plastic stuff. Here's a picture of some nice multi-colored flames from one of her fires.

Chimea after setting Treated wood aflame(not recomended as it is poisonous, i didn't do it, ex brother-in-law thought it was a good way to get rid of scrap wood)

A few days ago we had a magical sunrise. I've never seen anything like this before! It looked like the sun had a flame! It lasted for a few minutes and it was just magical!

“A life without love in it is like a heap of ashes upon a deserted hearth, with the fire dead, the laughter stilled and the light extinguished.”

Having too much fun taking random pictures of flames.

Some flames rising off the fire, kind of looks like a landing eagle. Just thought i'd submit it because it's funny

El fuego es una reacción química de oxidación violenta de una materia combustible, con desprendimiento de llamas, calor y gases. Las llamas y humos son su manifestación visual

Fire is the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products. The flame is the visible portion of the fire.

A photo of a candle's flame

I turned up late after my trip to Bristol so missed the fireworks. So here's a few pictures of the bonfire instead!

The Flame Nebula, designated as NGC 2024 is an emission nebula in the constellation Orion. It is about 900 to 1,500 light-years away. This was taken with a Celestron SCT8 and DSI Pro II camera on a LXD75 mount with a Lumicon night sky Hydrogen alpha filter.

This is 20 sec subframes for a total of 29 minutes.

False color

Captured and stacked in Nebulocity and processed in Photoshop.

D300, Lensbaby with Double Glass Optic and +10 Macro Diopter. Processed first in Lightroom, then Photoshop, with Nik Color Efex Pro Solarization filter, then vivid light blending mode with background layer.
