Flames signify many things...

I always looked at the flames as a symbol of intense desire... passion... love and lust...

A touch, soft and tender.

A whisper, full of desire

A gasp of sweet surrender

As passion fuels the fire

No words spoken between them

No promises to be kept

No lies being told tonight

No looking back - no regrets

Longing to hold each other

Such precious little time

Both vowed to another

Being lonely their only crime

Tomorrow bringing sorrow

A brief moment of shame

With the memory of this one night

A release from passion's flames

Years ago I took a photo of a Match and lost both photos and negitive in a flood. I loved that photo and have missed it, this shot is close but stills falls short.

"Young love is a flame; very pretty, often very hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. The love of the older and disciplined heart is as coals, deep burning, unquenchable."

~Henry Ward Beecher (1813 - 1887)

Broad Street in Oxford was transformed from March 15 - 17, by French fire artists Carabosse and Oxford's Ted Dewan. Hanging fire pots, sculptures and chandeliers replaced electric lighting and traffic to transform the street into an enchanted place. This was created to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Oxfordshire.

It was post Navratri,

i had that devotional spirit in me, performing daily prayers at my place; the lighting up of the diya, the burning of the incense sticks, offering flowers and garlands to the gods, all these filled the air with serenity..that was time when i had clicked this pic
