This is the most beautiful snow so far (and I am an expert). Each individual snowflake can be seen, too bad I don't have a macro lens!

edit: Thanks for the crop suggestion Lienchen...I replaced this photo with the new crop.

Corn flakes are a popular breakfast cereal that many people eat with milk originally manufactured by Kellogg's through the treatment of corn.

How do you get the corn in the flakes? I have 3 ears here, wonder how many bowls 3 ears makes.

Adobo flakes on top of a scrambled egg on top of garlic rice. Chopped tomato, green mango & onion mixed together with a hint of shrimp paste on the side add color & greens to the whole ensemble.

my attempt at capturing flakes... even in gale force winds!

Something fell on my head while walking under this tree. Saw the squirrel and thought it was something nasty. Then, noticed it was nibbling so knew it was a flake of acorn. Fortunate for all that as I then enjoyed a few minutes watching and taking pics.

The snow was coming down in huge flakes, wet and heavy so I had to use an umbrella to take the photos! I was trying to get the shot without the umbrella in it but I ended up liking how nicely it framed the image!

The mystery internet issue (intermittent ... but mostly out yesterday) turned out not to be the router so off to return it. I think I will blame this problem on Comcast! Be back later today to catch up from over the weekend!! Thanks to everyone for your most awesome comments on my Exploding Bokeh yesterday!

No macros and no benches today ... Just Happy Monday! JHM!! :D

Such beauty in each flake. No easy task to capture........cold fingers make focusing hard. I still haven't got the perfect shot. I'm sure I will get many more chances.

These two little song birds are always together. Soon they will be making a nest and watching the young ones. The white spots are snow flakes. I think they make a cute pair...

I thoroughly admire the macro shots that some of my friends take of snow flakes. In my case, I think they stretch the limits of my "poor man's macro" lens. But, I had a good time working on it!
