These buildings housed the signalling flags used for communicating with ships off Norfolk Island. In the distance Nepean Island (left) and Phillip Island (right) can be seen.

The Grand Union Flag was flying at Fort Anne National Historic Site in Annapolis Royal today as part of the annual Natal Day encampment. Unfortunately the rain put a damper on the black powder firing.
I saw the flag fold just at the right angle and at the right light it tottally looked plaid. hope you enjoy it.
Next time, I'll get it when the wind is stiffer and the sky is a twilight blue instead of a night black.
We are starting to get ready for the Commonwealth games in Glasgow this summer. Lots of flags up in the church.
