The Cenotaph, Martin Place, Sydney.

This statue is part of the World War I memorial erected in 1927. The beautiful sandstone building behind it is the General Post Office.

Standing in the shadow of the flag - created this neat effect.

 

What appears to be the palsticy reflection on the flag, is actually the sun through the flag - somehow almost matching the clouds around the top...

A windy afternoon (aren't they all?) at Ft. Abraham Lincoln State Park near Bismarck, North Dakota

This must have been the very last puff of wind that afternoon...we were sweltering in the bleachers in what had to be 100 degrees. HOT!
