Jena Adder dress (named after yours truly) is part of Glam Dreams Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The form fitting mesh mini features a plunging neckline that is framed with a beautiful flower collar, and shows off the many assets of the female form. Sandytpr Lysette, Glam Dreams Designer & CEO, took special care in designing the intricate details of this dress, with textures that repeat in the flowers along the collar and in the hat ornament. I love the play on horizontal and vertical lines along the bustline, which is very trendy this summer. I absolutely adore the large white summer hat -- a staple piece in the Glam Dreams Spring/Summer collection. This ensamble can be taken from daytime beachwear to eveningwear just by adding the flexi flair train and your own fab-unique style. Thank you Sandy for naming this gem after me.

Kmart at the Palm Plaza in Temecula has reached the end of the line and is currently working on closing down, this is a small look at the store's closing sale
Fitting rooms were next to the babies clothing department and where the Little Caesars once was
These 2 little pieces were tricky to cut. I want the fireplace to be flat against the wall so I had to cut trim around it. I used a coping saw, Xacto knife, and sand paper. Not perfect, but I got bored of trying. If I decide to glue the fireplace in, I can put some paint in the groove to fill it in.

From the complete c1955 Revo catalogue - section 6 covers the company's still wide range of street lighting fittings and lanterns. The company's street lighting columns and brackets, as well as control gear, were covered in other sections.
The range is slightly reduced from pre-war catalogues as the once prevelent fashion of producting a bespoke lantern for each customer - often named after the town or borough it had been designed for - was being replaced by a more pared down range. Also at play was the increasing 'standardisation' of lanterns and fittings, in terms of type and output, that was driven by new national Standards on street lighting. Although the many different manufacturers still translated such Standards into many different types of lanterns it gave a company such as Revo an opportunity to produce a smaller range in a more economic manner as lantern design and lamp technology grew more complex.
Revo were a longstanding manufacturer not just of street lighting but also a wide range of electrical and domestic appliances during the mid-Twentieth century. They slowly delined after the 1970s with the street lighting being spun off into Relite and latterly other manufacturers. The works at Tipton was an almost 'vertical' production unit as Revo had large metal and concrete casting workshops to make complete product ranges. Their streetlighting sold widely across the UK and the Commonwealth although their equipment is now increasingly rare on UK roads.
This page shows open lanterns, more widely sued for side street lighting, in the C12423, C13222 and C12603 family that could use tungsten, mercury or fluorescent light sources.

A new Eagle showed up at the spit the other day. It appears to be just coming into its fifth year and reaching maturity, as its head and tail are mostly white, but still show traces of the dark juvenile colour. It's probably trying to establish a territory, and attract a mate. It found a tasty bit of fish skin, and returned to its pole for a nice quiet snack. A couple of younger juvenile delinquents showed up though, and chased it off the pole. It evaded them, and landed again, hoping to eat in peace. Continued tomorrow. Have a great weekend, everybody.

6 wide Lego car, fitting two minifigures side-by-side. It's the classic Fiat 131 Abarth in the Olio Fiat livery. I love the color combination. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the back light bricks for a reasonable price in dark blue. Probably used a record number of 1x2 jumper plates to get the proper shape.
i had sudden inspiration... fitting inside a circle would be a full body shot, but i could look off into the distance and not feel so funny looking at the camera...
my daughter and i ran off to the park, where i remembered several tunnels... however, friends, they are not for adults... so i didn't fit!! hah! this brought many laughs... the idea, that i might fit inside here.
this brings to mind metaphors about fitting in... how we try to at certain times in our lives... do we grow out of this? to what extent? (my 12 yo is just beginning to consider this.)
still, it's my favorite of the day. one of the first days we've had here where i had to have a wool hat and coat on to stay warm.
(as a sidenote... i am thinking now about places for full body selfies all the time... the park had plenty more to play around with. and i am still looking for a tunnel i can fit in.)
It's getting closer to LOOKING like an airplane. Not quite as close to BEING an airplane, but moving in the right direction. This is the last work session of 2025.
These wood strips were a bitch on wheels. Thin sapele cut to width, then a 45 angle routed where they'd meet lengthwise and another at the end for the corner. And it's not like the newly leather covered case was perfectly in geometric line or anything. So there was a whole lot of adjusting. Glue with a long setting time was crucial, along with a whole lot of creative clamping and wishing and prayin' and cursin'.
Then to color match with the oak drawers.
I think this photo is fitting. It's the El Muerto Island Speckled Rattlesnake crawling over a dolphin vertebrae.
The El Muerto Island Speckled Rattlesnake is isolated on the namesake island in the Gulf of California off the northeast coast of Baja California. The island itself is made up mostly of rocks and only small shrubs and cactus that provide very little shade. It is a rookery for seabirds, which is evident almost immediately upon arrival to the island by the ubiquitous feces covering nearly every surface and the lingering smell. No permanent freshwater is available on the small island, so all of the wildlife must rely upon rainwater or dew. The rattlesnakes themselves feed on small rodents and lizards that all find refuge in the rock crevices. They experience island dwarfism as well, and only reach a maximum length of around 21 inches. Depending who you ask, this snake is no longer a full species or even a subspecies, but instead lumped with the Southwestern Speckled Rattlenake (Crotalus pyrrhus).
It's only fitting we would have snow for the beginning of the Olympics right? ❄️❄️❄️⛄️

For DH: here are the four Hindsgaul fittings with which I have had experience, although I do not assume these are the only four fittings for the arms that they have ever used.
I am not certain whether A came before B, but I think it did. I may be wrong, but I put them both as 1980s and after, anyway. I cannot be sure because I have no number for the mannequin that A came with and B is not the original arm for the mannequin that it came with. It's just part of the fun of collecting.
Footnote: The fitting I need for the 1636 is B, which is why A would not work, unfortunately.
I don't know what this is, or was, as it's clearly damaged - looks like a light fitting, but it's a strange shape. Is the facing surface mica ? It's set on the side of a rusty warehouse at Gravesend's Albion Parade (or was, I don't know if it's still there).
