Seen next to the coach park at Thorpe Park in Surrey in May 2015 is this group of school buses owned by First. I'm assuming this is their Chertsey 'depot'? The four on the right are Blue Bird AARE buses, part of a batch of 20 imported from the US by First Group in 2002.

Dogwood Canyon trail in Oliver Lee State Park is quite strenuous, but the views are incredible!

We started off on the hike as soon as it was light out. The campground is close enough to the trails so we didn't even have to drive to the trailhead.

There was a light mist over the land, which we took breaks from the climb to admire.

First butterfly I've photographed in 2019. I've seen a few others over the last few days, but this is the first I've managed to capture. The butterfly here is called a Comma.

First flown with the Airbus test registration D-AVWF, this aircraft was delivered to a lessor and leased to Air Berlin as D-ABGP in Dec-08. It was sub-leased to associate company 'fly niki' (Niki Luftfahrt GmbH) as OE-LOC in Nov-12 and returned to Air Berlin as D-ABGP in Jun-13. It was wet-leased to 'fly niki' again, as OE-LNC in Mar-15 and returned to Air Berlin as D-ABGP in Feb-17. By this time, Air Berlin were having financial problems and an agreement was reached with The Lufthansa Group to wet-lease around 50 Airbus A320 family aircraft. This aircraft was wet-leased to Eurowings later in Feb-17. Air Berlin ceased operations at the end of Oct-17. Eurowings returned the aircraft to the lessor and it was stored at Budapest, Hungary. In Dec-17 the aircraft was leased to LGW Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter (who had previously operated Air Berlin's Dash 8Q-400 fleet). It was moved to Berlin-Tegel and stored awaiting certification for 'LGW' to operate the aircraft on behalf of Eurowings. This was granted in Mar-18. At the end of Dec-18 the lease was transferred from 'LGW' to Germanwings and the wet-lease to Eurowings continued. Current (Apr-19).

Note: Although no longer an operational Airline, Germanwings still exists as a company, however it now acts as an ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance & Insurance) operator with all it's aircraft and crews leased to Eurowings.
