This is the first time I have managed a shot of a Nuthatch its not spectacularly sharp but I think passable. Would have preferred a shot without the bird feeder but I could not manage one in the trees. It was a pretty gloomy day in Hebden one day I might manage to visit my friends when the sun shines
The nuthatch is a plump bird about the size of a great tit that resembles a small woodpecker. It is blue-grey above and whitish below, with chestnut on its sides and under its tail. It has a black stripe on its head, a long black pointed bill, and short legs. It breeds in central and southern England and in Wales, and is resident, with birds seldom travelling far from the woods where they hatch.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED.
To the victor goes the spoils.

Dogwood Canyon trail in Oliver Lee State Park is quite strenuous, but the views are incredible!
We started off on the hike as soon as it was light out. The campground is close enough to the trails so we didn't even have to drive to the trailhead.
There was a light mist over the land, which we took breaks from the climb to admire.

On our fourth morning in Rocky Mountain National Park, we woke up to the first snowfall at lower elevations. The snow on aspens seemed to symbolize the transition of seasons that happened right before our eyes.
A Brazilian Tapir born on 19th September at the Lake District Wildlife Park. This was taken when the Tapir was only a few minutes old. This is the second Tapir born to his mum and dad, Muffin and Rio. He does not have a name at the moment but the park is open for suggestions.
