Burnt out shops in the background near Somerfield in Woolwich. From what I could hear, this woman was asking the best way to get home.
They kept coming. 4 in all and going to the sheltered accommodation that's for slightly infirm elderly people, situated behind our house. No apparent fire but fire engines are used for all sorts of emergencies such as locking yourself out of your house, a broken lift or water leaks. I called them in a year or two ago when we had water streaming from our loft through a light fitting and no plumber was available.
This is a very tight corner but big lorries somehow negotiate it surprisingly well. The refuse lorry does so very skilfully every week. They didn't stay very long last night, perhaps eg. the lift was broken and they needed to get the elderly people upstairs.
I am very grateful for single invites but really don't want multiple ones. PLEASE no personal graphics, spinning or flashing comments. They stress my eyes
