A two-alarm fire damaged the historic Tadich Grill today. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the Grill should be open for business again soon. There were no injuries.
Established in 1849, Tadich is San Francisco's oldest restaurant and one of the city's oldest businesses.

Commemorative ceremony for the anniversary of Black Saturday. Flag was lowered to half mast, and followed by a breakfast at the Fire Station and the presentation of badges for those volunteers who fought the Black Saturday fires
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service fire engine, from East Preston, parked with its lights on outside Station Parade, near Angmering station. No idea what had happened.

Engine 3 from the La Porte, IN Fire Department rolling past my house en route to a call. (Medical emergency--ambulance follows down the street.)
Yes, I knew they were coming as I heard the call announced over the scanner. Yes, I do that, too!
