I found this clump of Fireweed in front of a burned tree. This tree and countess others burned in the Cameron Peak Fire in 2020. This ended up being the largest wildfire in Colorado history.

Here’s the lava “fire hose” from over a year ago during sunset. I missed it at its peak, but photographed it a few days after it weakened from a collapse. The wind conditions were not favorable as I was unable to get a single clear shot of the entire lava hose. What I ended up doing is stacking a burst-shot sequence with the Lighten blending mode to reveal the whole thing as each shot only revealed a small portion. I used the Nikon 500mm f/8 Reflex lens to capture this and even that wasn't enough to capture much detail in the hose from how far away the lookout was.

Okay, the smallest 'figure' (second from the left) is totally Photoshopped. But other than that, the rest of the photograph is actual SOOC flames inside my cottage fireplace. See additional flame photos adjacent to the link below:

A welcome sight on a cold rainy day to see a roaring log fire.

The logs had a wonderful aroma.

Interesting flame shapes.

As fellow photographer Phil Kuntz commented, this "Seems to be the new 'normal' in the PNW [Pacific Northwest]" If you live near or travel through the densely forested regions of the western United States, you know that wildfires and forest fires have been a major concern during the past few summers. And they seem to be getting more numerous and wide-spread with each passing year. This particular forest fire was in the beautiful Okanogan National Forest in the state of Washington. Even though I was driving with my windows up, I wore a mask for an hour when the smoke became extremely thick and hazardous. I drove well into the night before I was able to finally get away from it.

I can still "smell" the smoke when I see this image. Let's hope this coming summer is better!

The Fire by Daniel Arrhakis (2014-2015)

- This is photographic work. The base photo was taken in Quinta Do Relógio, Sintra (Portugal) .

These late changing aspen were on fire with color, and we had a dusting of snow on the mountains.

It was a hell of a view.

My brother placed an old oil barrel in his backyard and filled it with firewood to celebrate New Year 2014.

I wasn't able to join him this year, but it is a nice memory!

Small gypsy-esque firedancing troupe, comprised of many international members, which travels around the country piggy-backing other outdoor performances, targeting already-established crowds in order to perform for tips... and the occasional healthy helping of ego stroking.

The fire dancer, at the end of his performance of the traditional Kecak Fire Dance in Ubud, Bali, amazingly put live coals into his mouth, and you can see the glow of the fire and a spark coming from his mouth if you look closely at this image.

Exodus 12:8 “And they will eat the meat on this night; they will eat it fire-roasted and [with] unleavened bread on {bitter herbs}.”

Someone on another forum gave instructions on how to do this. Thought I would give it a try, so much fun until the glass broke, oops

Kamloops, B.C.

In all the years I've lived in Kamloops (about 25 years total), I've never seen a wildfire come so close to the city. There were 12 homes evacuated. These were about a mile from where I live and I took these photos from a parking lot across from my home. The initial moments, as high winds fanned up the flames, were terrifying. All is under control now though.

Sending sympathy and love to those affected by the California fires.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

Flambeau--A burning torch, especially one carried in procession. This was shot from a temple procession, in which the devotees carry the flambeau right in front of the procession followed by ornamented elephants carrying the God or Goddess.

looks like someone needs to get some more wood on this sad little fire

well I like fire

a lot actually

Taken at Betley Bonfire on Bonfire Night a while back. I think that the people blocking the fire makes the fire seem big... Which it was, it was huge!

The wonderfully-named Fire-eyed Diucon (Pyrope pyrope) is a tyrant flycatcher found only in the south of Chile and Argentina. It is the only species in the genus Pyrope, which simply means fire-eyed. The southernmost birds migrate north for the winter, which is the opposite direction of what we are used to in the northern hemisphere. It feeds mainly on insects, especially beetles, but will also eat fruit. I photographed this one in the rain perched on Southern Beech in Tierra del Fuego National Park.
