Yesterday a fire broke out in a huge storage shed within Bremen's Industrie- und Handelshafen (Industrial and Commercial Port). App 31000 m² (333681 sq ft) of the shed were destroyed by the flames. Fire fighters tried to prevent the flames from spreading to other buildings and warehouses.

Our primary source of heat is our woodstove. This is what it looks like inside when it is cooking - nice and toasty.

Sorry, I don't have anything better today. I took a few shots earlier in the day but wasn't satisfied with them.

6 years after the devastating Christchurch earthquakes, major fires break out on the port hills. So far one dead, at least 11 houses have been confirmed as destroyed and 1800 hectares of land damaged (many trees lost).

This was shot at night from the John Britten reserve at the eastern end of port hills and the glow and smoke from the fires is obvious.

Eagle Creek Fire in the Columbia Gorge, WA, USA

With not one but two blue eyes

Another picture of the fire from last night. Although this was when practically everyone there had thrown a block of wood in and.. well, this was the result.

Apart from putting in the watermark and a slight edit to the contrast this isn't edited that much at all. Looks pretty awesome I think :D

FACT: Those marshmallows were yummy.

Starting a fire of sorts in Dublin.

Another sighting on the bird count ... though not in the area assigned to me. This fire was in my neighbourhood, and knocked the power out around 3:30 in the morning. The chirping smoke detector and my anxious cat woke me up, I put my phone on battery saving mode as it hadn't charged fully. The phone "automatically silenced" my alarm, so the count was a bit later than planned1 The fire was in an unused former commercial building.

I was playing around with the fire shots and wasn't sure about it, but decided to post.

Taken at the event of Poush Shongkranti, Shakhari Bazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

a romantic fire at the beach

"insane inside

the danger gets me high

Can’t help myself

got secrets I can’t tell

I love the smell of gasoline

I light the match to taste the heat

I’ve always liked to play with fire"

The sky looked like it was on fire this morning as I drove down my street to get to my lookout point... only lasted about a minute and it was all gone by the time I got to the lookout hill.

Sunset Beach North Carolina is located in southwestern Brunswick County. It is the last developed Atlantic Ocean beach before the South Carolina border. Since most of Sunset Beach and the adjoining Bird Island coastal reserve encompass a barrier island, the only way to get there from the mainland is by crossing a 65 foot arc bridge straddling the Intracoastal Waterway and adjacent marshland.

View of the Fire Wave at sunset, at the Valley of Fire state park in Nevada, USA. The stripped sandstone formation was eroded from wind and water over the course of the last 150 million years. The colors come from the oxidation of iron and manganese contained in the rock (red/pink stripes) and bleaching from millennia of water exposure (white stripes).

I visited state 47/48 this weekend and the cold, rainy weather meant I got warm and cozy in a ski lodge with this awesome fire!

keep your fire burning -

have a great sunday !!
