Finding Yellow
She tried to find the light that would set her free from the demons that entrap her.
So, Stephen Maycock of Stephen Maycock Photography had an idea to start a little concept called Finding Yellow, making it into a whole collaboration concept! I thought it was a really interesting idea and decided to join in and create a photo based around the concept and came up with this which I shot last night!

My first LEGO painting — and an attempt to capture at least the postcard version of one of my favorite places on Earth. For a long time we’ve had an actual painting of Santorini hanging in our bathroom that includes some of these iconic details: the blue-domed churches with their bell towers; the perfectly cylindrical windmills with their spindly blades; the sunset that mixes with the dark blue ocean to create potent and otherworldly colors. I guess that painting was in my head, but I also decided to do a painting because, quite frankly, I’d gotten bored of doing interiors, and the idea of a LEGO creation that was 100% façade — one that could also hang on the wall instead of taking up precious 3D space in my house — had some serious appeal. That, and I also felt drawn to the prospect of trying out some version of forced perspective, which I attempted here with (among other things) the tiny door to the belltower and the stairs leading up to it. The red octopus is there because I saw one just like it hanging on the docks below Oia, the island’s northernmost village, and I wanted to eat it.
I’m also still obsessed — way too obsessed — with the color of the sky, which in some sense doesn’t exist: at Legoland FL, I found a cache of plates in this weird color (likely Light Yellowish Orange) that had been discontinued since the early 2000s, and had only ever been used in sets for a Duplo version of Eeyore. Lol. Finding LEGO esoterica like that has become my Roman Empire.

So today, I went up to a hill near by with Nico brother/"manager" and assistant for this shoot. My first self-portrait outside on a location ( trying to push myself because I procrastinate too much, finding inspiration). Hope you guys like the result! I liked it ! Will be posting more. .

American actor Johnny Depp is one of the most versatile actors in today's Hollywood. He made his film debut as one of Freddy Krueger's victims in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). With his dark, intense eyes and highly defined cheekbones, he shot to fame as a teen idol in the TV series 21 Jump Street (1987). He is now best known for his many wonderful collaborations with director Tim Burton, and for his flamboyant pirate Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of Carribean franchise. He likes to play freakishly eccentric outcasts whose oddities are misunderstood by society. Depp has been nominated for three Oscars and has won the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Actor.
John Christopher Depp II was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, in 1963, to Betty Sue (Wells), who worked as a waitress, and John Christopher Depp, a civil engineer. Depp was raised in Florida. He dropped out of school when he was 16 (or 15 - the sources differ), after his parents divorced. The brooding teenager fronted a series of music-garage bands, including the punk rock/New Wave band The Kids, which opened for Iggy Pop, Duran Duran, and The B-52's. When he married Lori Anne Allison (Lori A. Depp), he took up the job of being a ballpoint-pen salesman to support himself and his wife during slack times in the music business. When he visited Los Angeles with his wife, he met actor Nicolas Cage, who advised him to turn to acting. This culminated in Depp's film debut in the low-budget horror film, A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), where he played a teenager who falls prey to dream-stalking demon Freddy Krueger. He played a supporting role as a Vietnamese-speaking private in Oliver Stone's Vietnam War film Platoon (1986), starring Charlie Sheen. In 1987 he shot to stardom when he replaced Jeff Yagher as Officer Tom Hanson, who goes on an undercover operation by posing as a student in crime-ridden Los Angeles-area high schools in the TV series 21 Jump Street (1987). After numerous roles in teen-oriented films, Depp spoofed the genre as 1950s teen rebel 'Cry-Baby' Wade Walker in John Waters' tongue-in-cheek Cry-Baby (John Waters, 1990). The film received positive reviews from critics, but did not achieve high audience numbers in its initial release. It has subsequently become a cult classic and spawned a Broadway musical of the same name which was nominated for four Tony Awards. That year, Depp also started his great collaborations with director Tim Burton, playing the title role in the romantic dark fantasy Edward Scissorhands (1990) with Winona Ryder and Christopher Lee.
Following the film's success, Johnny Depp carved a niche for himself as a serious, somewhat dark, idiosyncratic performer, consistently selecting roles that surprised critics and audiences alike. He continued to gain critical acclaim and increasing popularity by appearing in such features as Lasse Hallström's What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993). He starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Juliette Lewis in this drama about a dysfunctional family. He rejoined with Burton in the lead role of Ed Wood (Tim Burton, 1994), a biographical film about one of history's most inept film directors. Then he played a newly-orphaned accountant in the surrealist Western Dead Man (Jim Jarmusch, 1995), and an undercover FBI agent in the fact-based crime drama Donnie Brasco (Mike Newell, 1997), opposite Al Pacino. Depp appeared as Hunter S. Thompson's alter ego in Terry Gilliam's trippy adaptation of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998). The same year he teamed up again with Burton in Sleepy Hollow (Tim Burton, 1999), brilliantly portraying Ichabod Crane. With Chuck E. Weiss, Depp turned the Central Nightclub in Los Angeles, into the famous Viper Room at 8852 Sunset Blvd. The building was once owned by infamous gangster Bugsy Siegel. It's also the place where River Phoenix passed away on 31 October 1993. Depp closed down the Viper Room for two weeks after Phoenix's death and he also closed it on every 31 October until 2004. That year, he ended his ownership of the Viper room when he signed it over to Amanda Fox, the daughter of his missing partner in the club, Anthony Fox. Depp also once co-owned a restaurant/club in a former cinema in Paris called Man Ray (named after the avant-garde artist), with Sean Penn, John Malkovich and British musician Mick Hucknall.
Johnny Depp has played many different and often bigger-than-life characters in his career. He played a fact-based one, Insp. Fred Abberline in From Hell (Albert Hughes, Allen Hughes, 2001). He stole the show in the finale to Robert Rodriguez's Mariachi trilogy, Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), opposite Antonio Banderas. In that same year he starred in the marvelous family blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (Gore Verbinski, 2003), playing a character that only the likes of Depp could pull off: the charming, conniving and roguish Capt. Jack Sparrow. He based Sparrow on rock legend Keith Richards and the Looney Tunes character, Pepe Le Pew. The film's enormous success included an Oscar nomination for Depp. Depp was again nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for his performance as kind-hearted Scottish novelist James Matthew Barrie, who penned the children's classic Peter Pan, in Finding Neverland (Marc Forster, 2004), with Kate Winslet. He appeared as the notorious second Earl of Rochester in the British film, The Libertine (Lawrence Dunmore, 2004) opposite John Malkovich. Depp collaborated again with Burton in a screen adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Tim Burton, 2005), and the stop-motion animation Corpse Bride (Tim Burton, 2005), in which Depp voiced the character Victor Van Dort. Later followed Sweeney Todd (Tim Burton, 2007), Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton, 2010) and Dark Shadows (Tim Burton, 2012). Depp reprised the role of Jack Sparrow in the Pirates sequels Dead Man's Chest (Gore Verbinski, 2006), At World's End (Gore Verbinski, 2007) and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (Rob Marshall, 2011), which were again major box office successes.
Off-screen, Johnny Depp has dated several female celebrities, and has been engaged to Sherilyn Fenn, Jennifer Grey, Winona Ryder and Kate Moss. He was married to Lori Anne Allison in 1983, but divorced her in 1985. Depp has two children with French singer/actress Vanessa Paradis: Lily-Rose Melody (1999) and Jack (2002). He married actress/producer Amber Heard in 2015. Heard filed for divorce from Johnny Depp in May, 2016. She was granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Depp in relation to a physical altercation between the couple, which resulted in Heard filing for divorce in the first place. Heard was granted $7 million as part of the former couple's divorce, which was finalised in 2017. Depp has struggled with alcoholism and addiction for much of his life. Depp has stated that he began smoking at age 12 and began using alcohol and drugs shortly thereafter. In July 2018, Depp was sued for allegedly punching a crew member twice in the ribs during a foul-mouthed tirade. Court documents stated that the actor "reeked of alcohol" and took drugs on set. According to IMDb, Johnny Depp resides in France, Los Angeles, and an island he owns in the Bahamas. He divides his time in France between Meudon, a suburb of Paris and a villa in Plan-de-la-Tour, an hour outside of St Tropez in Southern France. He also purchased Bela Lugosi's Los Angeles home. Depp is intensely protective of his private life. Inside the Actors Studio (1994) is one of the few televised interviews he's granted. Hal Erickson at AllMovie: "Despite this massive success (or maybe as a result), Depp's career suffered a downswing after a string of critical and commercial flops. Films like The Tourist (opposite Angelina Jolie), Dark Shadows (a rare misstep with Tim Burton) and The Lone Ranger failed to connect with audiences and critics alike and left many to wonder when Depp's career would recover." It did. In recent years, Depp reprised the role of the Mad Hatter in Alice Through the Looking Glass (James Bobin, 2016), reprised his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (Joachim Rønning, Espen Sandberg, 2017), and he was seen in the blockbuster Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (David Yates, 2018), written by J. K. Rowling and starring Eddie Redmayne. Depp is set to return as Gellert Grindelwald in the third Fantastic Beasts film, which is scheduled for release in November 2020.

Hello my flickr friend, how's everybody doing this summer? I have to said that I had a blast summer. I can't believe it it's September now...
This is my second time taking the Milky way picture on top of Glacier Point @ Yosemite National Park. I kind of like the lighting effect inside the house. I had my friend turn on his cellphone inside the house for entire 30 seconds.I don't know why it turns out green, but it makes me feel like I'm filming a horror movie.

I started using pastels again this weekend. Although I love working on the computer, it felt amazing to create by hand. I forgot how much I enjoy drawing and shading with chalk pastel. It is satisfying and freeing to smear the chalk around make a mess. I have some ideas about merging photos and fine art together that I may explore in the near future.
Today I did another photo shoot with my good friend. We got a good laugh while I was trying to make this image.
Finding clothes can be a real pain in the tail.

Finding Nemo (Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich, 2003) is the fifth full-length animated film by Pixar, distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It tells the story of an overprotective clownfish named Marlin who, along with a regal blue tang named Dory, searches for his missing son Nemo. Along the way, Marlin learns to take risks and comes to terms with Nemo taking care of himself. The film was a huge success and received more than thirty awards, including an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Finding Nemo was a huge box-office success worldwide, earning nearly $865 million.
At the beginning of Finding Nemo (2003), the clownfish Marlin and his wife Coralie have just moved to a new anemone in the Great Barrier Reef. Their happiness is short-lived as Coralie and almost all the eggs she had laid are devoured by a barracuda. Only one egg survives. Marlin decides to name the little fish from this egg Nemo, a name that Coralie had thought up. In Latin, the word "nemo" means "nobody" or "no one." It is also a reference to Captain Nemo in Jules Verne's novel '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea'. Nemo has one fin that is smaller than normal. His father and he call it Nemo's lucky fin. It is actually a kind of scar from the barracuda's attack. The incident also makes Marlin excessively neurotic and protective of Nemo. When Nemo is older, it is time for him to go to school. The timid Marlin follows Nemo, against his will, to make absolutely sure he is safe. Nemo has clearly had it with his father's behaviour. To prove there is no danger, he leaves the coral reef. However, he is spotted by two divers. One of them catches Nemo in a net and takes him away. Marlin gets over his fear of the open sea to retrieve Nemo. He meets Dory, a blue tang suffering from short-term memory loss. One of the divers has lost his goggles, and Marlin finds them. The address of the diver is written on the goggles. With the help of Dory, who can read, they find out that Nemo is in Sydney now. Dory accompanies Marlin to Sydney on his search for Nemo. The two come across, among other things, three vegetarian sharks, a school of jellyfish, and a group of sea turtles. The latter help them a great deal. Finally, Marlin and Dory are swallowed by a humpback whale that blows them out through the blowhole, which carries them the last mile to Sydney.
The inspiration for Finding Nemo (2003) sprang from multiple experiences, going back to director Andrew Stanton's childhood, when he loved going to the dentist to see the fish tank, assuming that the fish were from the ocean and wanted to go home. In 1992, shortly after his son was born, he and his family took a trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom which was called Marine World at the time. There, after seeing the shark tube and various exhibits, he felt that the underwater world could be done beautifully in computer animation. Later, in 1997, he took his son for a walk in the park but realized that he was overprotecting him and lost an opportunity to have a father-son experience that day. In an interview with National Geographic magazine, Stanton said that the idea for the characters of Marlin and Nemo came from a photograph of two clownfish peeking out of an anemone: "It was so arresting. I had no idea what kind of fish they were, but I couldn't take my eyes off them. And as an entertainer, the fact that they were called clownfish—it was perfect. There's almost nothing more appealing than these little fish that want to play peekaboo with you." In addition, clownfish are colourful, but do not tend to come out of an anemone often. For a character who has to go on a dangerous journey, Stanton felt a clownfish was the perfect type of fish for the character. Pre-production of the film began in early 1997. Stanton began writing the screenplay during the post-production of A Bug's Life. As a result, Finding Nemo began production with a complete screenplay, something that co-director Lee Unkrich called "very unusual for an animated film". The artists took scuba diving lessons to study the coral reef. Stanton originally planned to use flashbacks to reveal how Coral died but realized that by the end of the film there would be nothing to reveal, deciding to show how she died at the beginning of the film. Finding Nemo was the first Pixar film not to be scored by Randy Newman. The original soundtrack album, 'Finding Nemo,' was scored by Thomas Newman, his cousin. The score was nominated for the Academy Award for Original Score, losing to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Finding Nemo (2003) did win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, the first Pixar film to do so. It was also nominated in two more categories, including Best Original Screenplay. Roger Ebert gave the film four out of four stars, calling it "one of those rare movies where I wanted to sit in the front row and let the images wash out to the edges of my field of vision" Finding Nemo became the highest-grossing animated film at the time of its release, and was the second-highest-grossing film of 2003, earning a total of $871 million worldwide by the end of its initial theatrical run. Demand for tropical fish exploded right after the film's release, especially for clownfish and blue tang. Finding Nemo is the best-selling DVD title of all time, with over 40 million copies sold as of 2006. After the success of the 3D re-release of The Lion King, Disney re-released Finding Nemo in 3D in 2012. A spin-off sequel, Finding Dory, was released in June 2016.
