Being the type of person that doesn’t sit still much, I’m always busy. Recently however, I’ve been feeling busy, which doesn’t happen often to me no matter how much I have to do in my day. When I get this way I have trouble finding my creativity. Not taking time to notice some of the intricate beauty around me is what bogs me down. Yesterday morning after working for a few hours I looked out the window and noticed the beautiful morning; the sun was shining and a heavy frost made everything shine. I took twenty minutes to head outside and take some photos and it made all the difference.
These are vintage jewelry making supplies.
I use to sell jewelry making supplies on eBay. Here are some photos from my auctions of jewelry findings and forms.
Some of the forms were plated with gold or silver, and then rhinestones were glued in - they were also stacked and riveted together. If you have some vintage broaches, look at the middle of the broach and you can see the rivet and how these werre used to make jewelry.

For real. I have slipped a lower disc in my back and am going for acupuncture. I realize how lucky I have been to have not had lower back trouble in my life until now. Hell I tell you---HELL!

When you run out of space in NYC, you have to improvise. That's a fire truck in a wire cage on the street.
Taken with work camera, during a Mussel photo shoot for work.
Girl in front is hand-planting all the recovered mussels. Group in back is finding mussels that will soon be on dry land.
History behind project: They are tearing down a damn that is costing too much to maintain, and without maintainance, it won't work properly anyways. So while they have been slowly letting the water out, these endangered mussels are being exposed to dry land. This effort to save an endangered species is collecting those mussels that are and will be on dry land soon and hand-planting them into deeper waters, that should be save from drying up once the damn is completely torn away. At the time of my photo shoot, they had rescued a combination of 6,000 of these two species.
My all-time favorite "critter" since I was a little girl. They brought joy even when the days were challenging. Lovely Flypaper texture.

Day 5.
Many tourists recognise the Blue Mosque from the much post-carded exterior but it’s the kaleidoscopic interior which held a memory for me. Our tour guide went on in the background about its history etc but it’s this lone worshipper who grabbed my attention. I watched him from a distance for a good 5 minutes, and hope he found his inner peace. (Trivia: On the chandeliers, ostrich eggs are found which secrete a scent meant to avoid cobwebs inside the mosque by repelling spiders.)

Are you searching for your soul?
Then come out of your prison.
Leave the stream and join the river
that flows into the ocean.
Absorbed in this world
you've made it your burden.
Rise above this world
There is another vision...
