As the days continue to get colder, and whiter, the mind tends to drift back to a time when sunshine and warmth were a way of life. This Monarch Butterfly works for me. It was taken in September. What a difference just a few months make.
It's always challenging finding something new when photographing a location as highly visited as Sparks Lake in the central Oregon Cascades. I was in the area and had a free morning, so I stopped by the lake to see what I would find. These columbine and penstamon growing on a small rock island were just the foreground element I was looking for.
This is a night shot of Prague's central square in old town. The astronomical clock (left) was was first installed in 1410 making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still working. The Church of Our Lady before Týn (right), is a dominant feature of the Prague skyline and has been the main church of this part of the city since the 14th century. The church's towers are 80 m high and topped by four small spires.

Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
The plan was to visit Yellowstone this year but as life happens, things change. We were fortunate enough to visit Florida for a week and got to visit the Florida Keys and some other areas.
We couldn’t pass up a chance to visit the Mouse in his flagship theme park.
We closed down the park this night, as the security guards were talking with us. I haven’t seen the fountains that they added before and I thought this would make for a lovely foreground image with of course the world famous Cinderella Castle anchoring the image.

Well today I enter my 50th Decade on the Planet!! How did they happen hey!!!
Anyhoo as I said I am currently in Bristol for my 50th Birthday to meet LeAnn Rimes, but before that, because the weather was rubbish yesterday I decided to go to the Bristol Aquarium to avoid getting wet, which was OK until the lens on my camera conked out!! I lost the focus abilities, so how I managed to get any photos at all was a miracle..Oh well, I bought a new lens on the way back to my hotel, so I should be OK for today...I hope you all enjoy my Birthday with me..;)

It’s past Christmas, and perhaps many lights have faded… the winter is long and dark yet before the spring comes….
but there is light in the deep wood, if you are quiet… and patient.
There is magic that sparkles in the snow.
As I roam about SL, and SHOP! I sometimes find wonderful little things that are JUST PERFECT and I know exactly what to do with them.
And sometimes I find things that are just perfect… but I know they need something… to make them sing, to make them truly come alive. I love those maybe the most — the mix-and-match, the outfit, the look that is truly one-of-a-kind, because no one else thought to put those things together
I’d been playing with the beautiful Opal Ice skin from Fallen Gods for months… and the Snowflakes outfit from Caverna Obscura
It was truly the beautiful Lightbringer antlers from Spyralle that made me know I had the look I wanted. They include a HUD to set the jewel/light colours at the tips of the antlers, as well as options with or without the headpiece and headpiece texture. I couldn’t resist the opal, it goes so well with the skin. Add to that a beautiful body shimmer from Stargazer, and..
This is a new favourite…. and it has me almost wishing the snow stays for weeks and weeks and weeks.
